RLCS Boston Major 2026: Teams, Groups, Schedule, Tickets and More

The RLCS 2026 Boston Major is the first international LAN of the new season, running from February 19 to 22 at Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts. Sixteen teams from seven regions fight for 354,000 USD and crucial RLCS Circuit Points that shape qualification for future Majors and Worlds.

Dates, venue, tickets and how to attend

All four competitive days run February 19–22, but the live‑crowd experience is concentrated on the weekend. Thursday and Friday are dedicated to the early stages in‑house, while Saturday and Sunday (February 21–22) bring the full arena show with audience, desk, stage walk‑ins and trophy lift at Agganis Arena.

Tickets are sold as a two‑day package for the weekend, labeled “Rocket League Boston Major 2026 (2 Day Package)” on Ticketmaster and other official sellers.

RLCS communications highlighted student pricing (with ID check at the door) and confirmed a digital bonus: fans who scan their tickets on‑site receive an email code afterwards granting Rocket Pass Premium and an exclusive “RL BOST 202 ATTENDEE” in‑game title.

Format, schedule and what to expect each day

Boston debuts a tweaked structure: no more Swiss, replaced by a GSL‑style group phase into a double‑elimination playoff bracket:

  • 16 teams split into 4 groups of 4.
  • GSL (double‑elimination) groups: win 2 series to advance, lose 2 and you’re out.
  • All group matches: best‑of‑five (Bo5).
  • Top 2 per group qualify; group winners go to the upper playoff bracket, runners‑up drop into the lower bracket.
  • Playoffs: full double‑elimination with best‑of‑seven (Bo7) series.

Day‑by‑day structure

  • February 19–20 (Thu–Fri): complete group stage with elimination and decider matches across all four groups.
  • February 21 (Sat): lower‑bracket openers and upper‑bracket quarterfinals in front of the Boston crowd.
  • February 22 (Sun): remaining quarterfinals, semifinals and Grand Final, with the trophy match slated for early evening.

Teams, regions and groups

The Boston Major field is built around a global spread: five European teams, four North American, two South American, two MENA, and one each from Oceania, APAC and Sub‑Saharan Africa.

Here’s the confirmed group draw:

RLCS Boston Major Key Storylines

  • New tournament format: The new GSL group system means top seeds can be punished by one bad day, since two early losses and a title-favorite is suddenly out before the arena days even begin.
  • NA x EU: Europe secured five slots off the back of recent international success, while North America come in with four teams and the pressure of defending home soil in front of a loud Boston crowd.

  • Brazilian double threat: FURIA in Group B and MIBR in Group D guarantee Brazilian interest from Day 1, and both have realistic paths to playoffs if they avoid slow starts in group series.

  • Viewership and momentum: Strong numbers from the 2025 circuit and early 2026 player rise give Boston a chance to outdo recent Majors numbers if orgs like NRG, Karmine Corp or Vitality reach Sunday.
