In a surprising turn of events, European esports sensation Carl Martin Erik "Rekkles" Larsson is reportedly making a move to the T1 Esports Academy in Korea. This move comes right as the Worlds event has ended and has stirred up a wave of excitement and speculation among the League of Legends community.

Verbal Agreement and Sightings

Rekkles has allegedly reached a verbal agreement with T1 to join their prestigious Esports Academy. Sources have confirmed this development, revealing that the European star will be making a significant move to the LCK Challengers League in the upcoming year.

During the Worlds event, keen observers noted Rekkles's frequent presence at the T1 facility in Seoul. Sources have further revealed that the player actively participated in scrims with the T1 Academy during this period. Thereby sparking early rumors about a potential collaboration.

T1's Legacy and Player Promotions

Despite considering options within the LEC, Rekkles has reportedly finalized his decision to play in Korea with T1. Thus adding another chapter to his illustrious career. This move places him in the LCK Challengers League, showcasing his skills under the banner of the recently crowned World Champions.

As an organization with a rich history, T1's recent World Championship victory only adds to its allure. Rekkles won't be part of the LCK main team initially. But the organization's track record of promoting players from the Academy, such as Toplaner Choi "Zeus" Woo-je, suggests that Rekkles might have a chance to shine on the grand stage.

A New Chapter for Rekkles

Rekkles's journey in 2022 has been nothing short of unique. Starting the year with Fnatic in the LEC Spring Split, the Swedish player found himself teamless during the Summer Split. Right after making a bold decision to transition to the Support role.

Rekkles's move to T1 marks a new chapter in his storied career. The transition to the LCK Challengers League and the collaboration with T1's Esports Academy will undoubtedly be closely followed by fans worldwide.
