Fnatic's veteran Support Martin "Rekkles" Larsson announces that he is officially departing FNC. His departure from FNC comes after he changed roles in the team from ADC to Support after LEC Spring Split 2023 concluded. Thereafter, he was swapped with Trymbi and became an inactive part of the team.

Announcement Summary

In Rekkles' announcement, he stated that FNC "weren't able to make things work this year". With his departure, Rekkles goes on to say that he is excited to show off his Support skills as he had "been grinding for the past 5 months". The LEC veteran dives into presenting himself as a "rigid" person; someone who is very "black or white and struggles with anything grey". He concludes that he is excited for the next chapter in his career and life.

The Yellow Brick Road

In the tone of Rekkles' announcement, it seems highly likely that he wants to continue playing League of Legends. While he stated specifically that his dream scenario would be playing Support in the LEC.  This, however, is not limited to solely the LEC and he could potentially rejoin the LFL as he did in all of 2022 for Karmine Corp.

It is also important to note that Rekkles stated he is not limiting himself to just Support. He let everyone know through his post that he is open to playing ADC professionally as well but highly prefers playing Support in hopes to show off the results of his solo queue grind.
