Overwatch Season 4 is live! The new season welcomes a brand‑new Tank hero, reworks for core maps, new Mythic skins, UI overhauls, and a host of other game updates. As usual, there are also several hero balance changes, with a number of heroes receiving both nerfs and buffs.

Here's a brief look at the Overwatch Season 4 patch notes and everything in store for players.

Highlights of Overwatch Season 4 Patch

  • New Hero – D.Mon: The latest addition to Overwatch's Tank roster is MEKA Squad leader D.Mon. She becomes the second MEKA pilot to join the game, following D.Va. We've explored all of D.Mon's abilities and perks in detail in our dedicated article.

  • Core Map Changes: Three core Overwatch maps — Busan, Eichenwalde, and Paraíso — have received layout changes with the Season 4 patch. All the changes are detailed in our map updates article.

  • Battle Pass Revamp: Season 4 introduces a brand‑new look to the game's Battle Pass, moving away from the standard linear progression. A new "Tier Hack" mechanic also enters the game, offering players more personalization options.

  • Shooting Star – My MEKA Mania Event: To welcome the new Tank hero, Season 4 kicks off with an event that lets players support their favorite MEKA Squad member, earn exclusive rewards, and unlock lore pieces. The event runs from August 11 to 31.

  • World Cup Cheer Rally: From September 1 to 14, players can complete challenges to earn Cheers, allowing them to support their preferred Conference (Americas, Asia, EMEA) and unlock rewards, including a themed weapon charm.

  • Two Mythic Skins: The Koi of Duality Genji Mythic hero skin and the Eternal Crystal Sojourn Mythic weapon skin are now available for purchase.
