LYON Smash Team Liquid to Lift Back-to-Back LCS Trophies

LYON didn't just show up to the Grand Finals of the LCS 2026 Spring, they demolished. The team swept Team Liquid with ease, collecting their second LCS trophy of the year before they head to South Korea for a chance to make their region proud at MSI 2026.

LYON Shines Under Pressure

New split, same story for LYON. Just like they did back in the LCS 2026 Lock-In tournament at the start of the year, LYON looked unimpressive throughout the Regular Season, only to turn all engines on as soon as they got to Playoffs.

This time around, LYON really did look like the undisputed kings of the jungle. After sweeping Cloud9 in the Upper Bracket Finals, LYON came into the Grand Finals feeling sharper than ever.

As for Team Liquid, they simply never looked like they stood a chance. The first game of the series may have been a close contest for the first 20 minutes or so, but things only went downhill from there for TL. With each passing minute in the series, LYON looked more and more dominant, eventually sweeping their rivals to claim the title.

Now, LYON will head straight to the Bracket Stage of MSI 2026. There, some real titans of the scene like Hanwha Life and Bilibili Gaming await, eager to get their hands on the trophy.

Inspired Runs the LCS

Yet again, Jungle Kacper "Inspired" Słoma leads his team to a title. The Polish Jungler was on point at these Grand Finals, dying only once across the entire series.

Impressive as he may have been, though, the player's domination extends way past this series. Between LYON and his time on FlyQuest, Inspired has now won a mind-boggling five consecutive LCS/LTA trophies.

The fact this individual run of titles spans two separate teams with entirely different rosters suggests Inspired's leadership skills are second to none in North America.

Once teams return to the LCS stage after MSI draws to a close, the question we may find other teams asking themselves is not 'How do we stop LYON?', but rather 'How do we stop Inspired?'
