Hanwha Life Esports' terrific run of form continues. After finishing the Group Stage in first place in the standings, HLE now took down T1 in the LCK 2026 Road to MSI bracket in dominant fashion. With the win, Hanwha Life became the first LCK team to lock in their spot at the League of Legends MSI 2026 in South Korea.

Hanwha Life Esports On Tear

Despite the level of the league as a whole, Hanwha Life currently look like the best team in the LCK. Having finished Rounds 1-2 of the Group Stage in first place with a 15-3 record, HLE secured themselves a spot straight into the first qualification match of the LCK 2026 Road to MSI bracket, where T1 would be waiting to take them on.

Reigning World Champions or not, the truth is T1 proved to be no match for Hanwha Life. The first two games of the series may have been close affairs, but a commanding final two games left no room for doubt: HLE were the better team.

The team's new Jungler, Seo "Kanavi" Jin-hyeok, was particularly impressive, outperforming T1's Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun every step of the way. Consistently securing leads for his team throughout the series (in addition to a masterful 7/1/10 performance on Lee Sin in Game 3), Kanavi was voted Player of the Match after sending his team straight to MSI.

Historic Qualification: A World Champion Reaches MSI

Surprising as it may sound, Hanwha Life Esports had never managed to qualify to an MSI tournament before. Having now surpassed that first hurdle, they may well be heading all the way to the trophy if they can keep up their current form.

Team as a whole aside, this qualification should be particularly meaningful for the HLE Mid Laner, Kim "Zeka" Geon-woo. Despite being a World Champion (won Worlds 2022 with DRX), the star player has never attended MSI.

HLE Zeka

Qualifying to MSI may sound like a small feat for a player of Zeka's achievements, but the fact that he now has the chance to add a brand new trophy to his personal tally will no doubt serve as further fuel for a player who is deep in the process of expanding his legacy.

While Hanwha Life can now take a break and rest before MSI 2026, one more spot remains up for grabs in the LCK. The LCK 2026 Road to MSI continues this Saturday, June 13, where Gen.G vs KT Rolster will settle who gets to take on T1 in the final qualifying match.

Locke in League of Legends: Abilities, Playstyle, Release Date

Riot’s newest champion, Corvin Locke, arrives as a nail-slinging exorcist versed in forbidden rites, shaped by a childhood steeped in Demacian lies and hypocrisy. Born to Demacian occultists, Locke grew up learning a brutal lesson: demons are not the source of humanity’s darkness, but its consequence. That belief drives his mission now—to tear through every soul, expose its hidden rot, and make the world a little more honest, one exorcism at a time.
