LOS Wins CBLOL 2026 Split 2 and Secures Direct Spot in Worlds Swiss Stage

LOS defeated FURIA 3-2 on Saturday, October 10, to win the CBLOL 2026 Split 2 title. The victory also secured Brazil's first seed at Worlds 2026, sending LOS directly to the Swiss Stage of the League of Legends World Championship.

Both teams had already qualified for Worlds before the final, but their seeding was still undecided. With the win, LOS will not begin its Worlds campaign until October 23, while FURIA will have to start in the Play-In Stage on October 15.

One Title, Two Different Paths at Worlds 2026

As Brazil's first seed, LOS will skip the Play-In Stage, where four teams will compete for just one spot in the Swiss Stage.

FURIA, meanwhile, will face competition from the third seeds of the LEC, LCS, and LCP: Movistar KOI, LYON, and MVK Esports. The Play-In Stage will take place in Los Angeles from October 15 to 18, featuring a double-elimination bracket with best-of-five series.

While FURIA must make it through this stage to stay in the tournament, LOS will have more time to prepare before facing its first international opponents.

LOS's Road to the CBLOL 2026 Final

LOS reached the Grand Final after finishing the Split 2 regular season with six wins and just one loss, tied with LOUD at the top of the standings.

In the playoffs, LOS defeated FURIA 3-1 before facing LOUD in the Upper Bracket Final. LOS took a 2-0 lead, but LOUD fought back to force a deciding fifth game. LOS eventually closed out the series 3-2, becoming the first Brazilian team to qualify for Worlds 2026.

CBLOL Grand Final Goes the Full Five Games

LOS faced FURIA again in the Grand Final. FURIA had beaten LOS 3-1 to win the first split earlier in the year, but this time LOS came out on top in another five-game series.

The teams traded wins throughout the final. LOS took Game 1, FURIA answered in Game 2, and LOS regained the lead in the third game, with Jeong "Feisty" Seong-hoon standing out with a 10/1/3 KDA. FURIA bounced back in Game 4 to force a decider.

In Game 5, LOS built a gold lead of more than 10,000 and finished with 13 kills to FURIA's nine. Wallyson Francisco "Duduhh" Queiroz da Silva finished with a 6/2/6 KDA, and LOS destroyed FURIA's Nexus after 35 minutes to secure the 3-2 victory and the championship.

Curse Named CBLOL 2026 Grand Final MVP

LOS jungler Raí "Curse" Yamada was named Grand Final MVP. His standout performance came in Game 3, where he played Wukong and posted a 7/1/1 KDA, helping LOS secure a convincing victory in just 24 minutes, with 15 kills to FURIA's three.

Curse played five different champions across the series, contributing to all three of LOS's victories. Here are his game-by-game stats:

• Game 1 (Win): Cho'Gath, 1/3/6 KDA
• Game 2 (Loss): Maokai, 1/4/5 KDA
• Game 3 (Win): Wukong, 7/1/1 KDA
• Game 4 (Loss): Jarvan IV, 0/2/2 KDA
• Game 5 (Win): Qiyana, 1/2/6 KDA

LOS Still Has to Fight for Its CBLOL 2027 Spot

Despite winning the title, LOS still has another crucial series ahead. As a Guest Team in the CBLOL, the organization will compete in the Promotion Tournament Grand Final on October 12, with its place in Brazil's top league for 2027 on the line.

That means LOS could compete at Worlds as the Brazilian champion even if it loses its CBLOL spot for next season.

When Does Worlds 2026 Start?

Worlds 2026 begins on October 15 in the United States with the Play-In Stage. The Swiss Stage, where LOS will enter the competition, is scheduled to begin on October 23.

The tournament will feature 19 teams, with the Grand Final scheduled for November 14 in New York. You can find the full Worlds 2026 broadcast schedule, including start times for every region, on Strafe.
