Following what had been a remarkable glow-up for Karmine Corp, the team is eliminated in the LEC Summer Playoffs at the hands of Team BDS.

KC's commendable run has been brought to an end in what was a hard fought French battle that went the distance and delivered an exciting set of games.

Karmine Corp came oh-so-close

Having failed to qualify for playoffs in both the Winter Season and the Spring Season in the LEC, the French organization managed to pull off an amazing turn-around.

Despite losing to G2 in the first round of the LEC Summer Playoffs, the team went on to win their following couple of series. First, with a convincing victory against Spanish rivals MAD Lions KOI, before shocking the rest of Europe by taking down Summer Season first place team of SK Gaming last Tuesday (July 23rd).

Karmine Corp's enriched gameplay over the course of the playoffs saw the team earn the chance to qualify for the LEC Season Finals if they managed to get the win over Team BDS on Friday (July 26th).

A win for either team would also mean squaring off against European powerhouse of G2 in the Lower Bracket Finals, following the team's first defeat to Fnatic in a best-of-5 series in nearly 3 years.

Hungry at the opportunity, Karmine Corp and Team BDS decided to put on a show. The series saw both teams go toe-to-toe, taking us to yet another deciding Game 5 in these Summer Playoffs.

Team BDS, who shared the best record in the LEC Summer Season with SK Gaming at 8 wins and 1 loss, were not ready to say good-bye just yet, however.

BDS took over the final game of the series against a KC team-composition that simply did not have enough front-line to deal with Ilias "nuc" Bizriken's Lucian. Team BDS' win was a testament to their commitment to playing their game, for better or worse.

Result: Team BDS 3-2 Karmine Corp

KC walk away heads held high

With the loss, Karmine Corp fans will not get to see their team compete in this year's LEC Summer Finals. This, in turn, means that KC will no longer be able to qualify for the 2024 League of Legends World Championship, taking place in France, Germany and the United Kingdom later this year.

After coming such a long way in the LEC, Karmine Corp sees their year in League of Legends come to a bitter-sweet end.

One thing is certain, however, fans of KC can be proud of the team's ability to turn the year around and deliver exciting games.
