VALORANT’s in-game competitive ‘Path To Pro’ system, Premier, will see some changes come to it in the coming iteration. Set to launch once again in Episode 8 Act 2, Premier will see quality of life improvements as well as a smoother and more flexible overall experience.

Changes to Premier

The following changes are set to take place for Premier in the coming iteration:

  • Rematch Protection
  • Playoff Results
  • No More Enrollment
  • Immediate Division Placement
  • Zone Flexibility
Rematch Protection

Teams will no longer rematch against opponents within the same Stage.

Playoff Results

Playoffs bracket will now be updated immediately with new standings with the conclusion of respective matches.

No More Enrollment

Teams will no longer need to be enrolled prior to season start. Teams can be created and participate in Premier at any point during the Stage.

Immediate Division Placement

Immediately following team creation, Provisional Division will be visible. Division can still change with roster or zone switches, however, will lock in after first match.

Zone Flexibility

Prior to first match of stage, teams will be able to change their zones at any time.

What does this mean for Premier Teams?

Not only will teams gain more flexibility in this upcoming Premier season, with no set time to lock in rosters, the zone placement and provisional division changes allow teams a better idea of their starting position prior to kicking off the season. Lastly, within the format of Bo1s, being able to avoid repeat opponents allow teams a better chance of coming into matchups with more surprises.
