How to get Prestige Skins in League of Legends (2026)

One of the biggest attractions to League of Legends in modern times is undoubtedly the champion skins. It’s the largest revenue contributor for Riot Games to continue keeping the lights on and hosting massive tournaments yearly. Every year, dozens of champions skins (cosmetics) are released, all aligned with different themes and visions for the champion previously unexplored.

At the end of 2018, Riot Games introduced a new type of champion skin – the Prestige skins. These were ‘enhanced’ versions of pre-existing skins, further pushing the envelope on the draw that came from these exclusive and elusive cosmetics.

In 2026, 9 years later, over 100 Prestige skins have been introduced to League of Legends. From beloved old skin lines such as K/DA to battle pass releases and the coveted Worlds Finals MVP bonus skin, Prestige Skins are highly coveted, and for good reason. Here’s how to get Prestige Skins in League of Legends.

The Battle Pass Path

To obtain Prestige Skins, there are generally two main methods. The first is through the Battle Pass. Currently, for example, the featured Prestige Skin on the battle pass is Prestige Money Miser Mordekaiser, released on April 1.

The pass is available in 3 versions: the standard one at 1650 RP (around €14), the pass bundle at 2650 RP (around €22), and the premium pass bundle at 3650 RP (just under €30).

Mythic Shop Method

The second method is the Mythic Shop. One of the rotating stores in League of Legends, it offers players the opportunity to purchase the game’s rarest content using Mythic Essence (ME). Each Prestige Skin will set you back 150 ME. As of April 23, the store features:

  • Prestige Mecha Kingdoms Garen
  • Prestige Winterblessed Camille
  • Prestige K/DA Evelynn
  • Prestige Porcelain Kindred
  • Prestige Immortal Journey Sona
  • Hextech Renekton
  • Prestige K/DA ALL Out Kai’Sa
  • Prestige Battle Academia Leona
  • Prestige K/DA Kai’Sa
  • Prestige HEARTSTEEL Yone
  • Prestige Bewitching Morgana

This rotation is set to last until May 7 12:00AM UTC (2026).

Mythic Essence can be obtained through the battle pass itself, which already includes it as part of its rewards, with additional amounts available in the Premium Pass Bundle. Players also earn 10 Mythic Essence every 50 levels starting from level 150 through the leveling system. In the loot system, Hextech Chests have a 3.6% chance of dropping 10 Mythic Essence, while Masterwork Chests have a 4.2% chance of granting 5 Mythic Essence.

Hextech Chests, Orbs, and Rerolls

There is also a very small chance to obtain Prestige skins from Hextech Chests (0.04%), Orbs (0.06%), or by rerolling three skins in the loot section. However, all three of these methods are considered very low odds, making the battle pass and Mythic Shop methods the better, more reliable options by far to obtain Prestige Skins.

Locke in League of Legends: Abilities, Playstyle, Release Date

Riot’s newest champion, Corvin Locke, arrives as a nail-slinging exorcist versed in forbidden rites, shaped by a childhood steeped in Demacian lies and hypocrisy. Born to Demacian occultists, Locke grew up learning a brutal lesson: demons are not the source of humanity’s darkness, but its consequence. That belief drives his mission now—to tear through every soul, expose its hidden rot, and make the world a little more honest, one exorcism at a time.
