The Day 3 of VCT Masters Shanghai Playoffs started with an elimination game between FNATIC and FUT Esports.

The two teams lost their opening games against Gen.G and 100 Thieves respectively to play the elimination game.

The elimination game spanned three maps, with both teams dominating their opponents map pick to force a third map.

FNATIC vs. FUT Esports:

The series started on FUT’s pick of Split. The aggressive performance from Derke helped FNATIC secure a 7-5 half, which they converted into a 13-5 map win.

Talking about the map loss, FUT’s qRaxs said:

“We could not present our own gameplay. It felt like we were quite shy and not proactive. We were more responsive. On the second and third map, we broke that. We managed to play our own game and were successful. It's just that on the first map, we were playing on the back foot. We struggled to get inside the game. That's what the reason was.”

FUT came back stronger on the second map, securing a strong 9-3 attack lead and converting it to a strong 13-8 game.

On the final map, FUT outclassed their opponents, securing a 9-3 lead on defense and dominating the second half to eliminate FNATIC from Masters Shanghai.

Elmapuddy was asked about the individual struggles and problem about the team, he replied:

“I think we came out with the wrong game plan. They abused C early on, and we were too slow to adapt to that. We left Alfa(jer) alone on C, and they just kept getting C-site over and over again. I don't think you can blame the players for that. We could have made a quicker adjustment.”

With the win, FUT Esports keep their tournament lives after a tough loss against 100 Thieves in the opening game. Gaia’s talk about how they came back from the loss:

“So I'm not sure if I can say that we were ready for this match. We have a bad habit of figuring out if we're ready for a match or not during the game, after we start playing. That's a bad habit that we have.

The victories against Leviatán and Fnatic show us that if we're facing off against a team whose playstyle we're familiar with, we can easily go head to head with them. The moment we're facing off against a team whose playstyle we're not familiar with, that's when we get stuck and stumble.

Watching the EDG and Paper Rex game is a lesson for us. If we are to face off against a team like that, we'll figure out our weaknesses. Those games are the kinds of games that teach us a lesson.”

FUT Esports will play either EDward Gaming or Paper Rex in their next game. Most of the players prefer to play EDward Gaming in the next game but yetujey wishes to play Paper Rex.

The Paper Rex-EDward Gaming game is currently underway. Catch the games live on Twitch and YouTube.

Is VALORANT Crossplay? PC, PS5, Xbox & Mobile Explained (2026)

VALORANT does not offer crossplay between PC and console. This means that PC players can only match and play against other PC players, and console players (PS5 and Xbox) players can only match and play against other console players. While there is no crossplay in VALORANT, the game does support cross progression, which means that your account, skins, and any other form of progress carry from one platform to the other (from PC to console, and vice versa).
