Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam has now been connected with Team Vitality’s ongoing efforts to prepare for Counter-Strike 2. According to French insider and GenONE founder and CEO Sébastien “KRL” Perez, the French coach had been approached by the organization to potentially return to the helm of the roster. Reportedly, discussions are now underway.

Should they be successful, “XTQZZZ” will replace Danny “zonic” Sørensen as head coach. For his part, “zonic” has been announced as the new coach for Saudi esports organization Team Falcon.

“XTQZZZ” can trace his career all the way back to 2009, in Counter-Strike: Source. After spending years as a player, he transitioned to coaching, eventually coaching Team Vitality. He spent three years with the organization before being replaced by “zonic” during Vitality’s rebuild phase that included bringing in two former Astralis players as well.

“XTQZZZ” went on to coach G2 Esports for 9 months before being benched there as well. His final destination before this potential move was TSM, functioning as coach for TSM’s new international roster.

His pedigree as a coach includes 5 1st place finishes at S-Tier Counter-Strike: Global Offensive events. Under his coaching, Vitality also finished second at the Blast Premier Fall Finals in 2021 and third at the Blast Premier World Finals in 2021. With G2, he accomplished a 2nd place finish at Katowice in 2022. “XTQZZZ’s” return to Vitality could be the fire to reignite the squad’s hunger.
