On the third day of DreamLeague season 22, OG Esports came back in the group stage, taking down Xtreme Gaming and tying with three other teams for a spot in the playoffs.

After a hard-fought series, team captain Sébastien "Ceb" Debs had a post-match interview discussing the impact of their new carry, the tournament's strongest teams, and how they beat Xtreme Gaming.

Ceb: "We're improving and we're very confident versus everybody"

It hasn't been a smooth ride for OG so far. They scrapped by the group stage after a three-way tie with Gaimin Gladiators and Virtus.Pro. The start of stage two wasn't looking so hot either, with two losses against Falcons and BetBoom Team.

Despite roster changes and a few tough games, Ceb was calm about his team's situation, believing they simply drew the strongest teams first and could take down everyone else.

"It's been challenging for sure but we also believe that we played the best teams which are BetBoom and Falcons. We played them in the first group stage also so we kind of knew that it was going to be tough. I don't think we're so unhappy because we challenge both these teams, BetBoom we won a game off them and game three was winnable and Falcons there was the throw we will not speak about. I think they're still better than us right now but we're improving and we're very confident versus everybody else."

DreamLeague features teams from every region and that can throw players off. When facing Xtreme Gaming, Ceb had to remind himself that they weren't as strong as their previous two opponents.

"Xtreme is really reckless in how they play and I think we started identifying that after game one, that we kind of approached that team a little bit like we approached the very structured and kind of super crisp surgical teams like Falcons and Betboom that make almost no mistakes. Then you play against Xtreme and you treat them with the same respect then you realize they're all over the place and giving you openings right, left, and center and they're going for low-percentage high-risk plays."

OG has gone through a roster change recently, benching their former carry and bringing in South American talent Enzo "Timado" Gianoli.

No slouch on the International stage, Timado has competed in several Internationals, along with both editions of Riyadh Masters.

Ceb praised his new carry, particularly his communication ability and strong temperament.

" I think he's a really good player, he's really well-spoken, which helps a lot. He's a great teammate, like he has really nice, you know we value character a lot, of course we value talent but I think if we had to pick one, we would pick character over talent, and not saying that talent isn't there but character is 10/10 and so is talent, so he just brings everything."

OG still has four matches to go before they make it to the playoffs of DreamLeage, be sure to catch all the action live on Twitch.
