The BetBoom Dacha group stage has concluded and eight teams will advance to the playoffs, while four others are eliminated from the first major LAN of the year.

Among the vanquished is OG Esports. The team started slow in the first two days but gathered steam as the tournament went on. Sadly for them it wasn't enough and OG was eliminated.

After their final series, Sébastien "Ceb" Debs opened up on why they lost, as well as implying that changes may be on the horizon.

Ceb: "It comes down to individual performance at the end of the day"

The match between OG and Team Spirit was a close one, with OG taking game one and nearly repeating the feat in the second game. Their efforts weren't enough and the series ended as a draw.

When asked how the match felt, Ceb stated that it was a good and exhilarating experience, "Felt good, felt like we put up a good fight, felt like we had it at points. Obviously, we were fighting for our survival so felt intense."

The multiple losses in the group stage were a tough pill to swallow for OG, especially with their 0-4 start in the first two days. When asked about the team's overall performance, Ceb ultimately admitted it came down to a few specific individuals without naming anybody.

"I hate to say it because it's the last thing I go back to but I think it comes down to individual performance at the end of the day. Result-wise, we are one of the worst teams in the tournament but I think all our first 15-20 minutes, our system, it feels like we always start really strong against the best teams, like Spirit, I think both games we're doing really well in the first 20 minutes. You feel like things should be going better but they just aren't, like in fights or in sequences or just in general map. I think it comes down a lot to individual performance, I  think some players were not in their best shape or had a rough time outside and inside the game."

Ceb: "At the end of the day we are just getting outclassed, there's no other words."

It's important to note that the current OG lineup is new and still adjusting to each other. This is the team's first LAN event with Adrián "Wisper" Dobles and Matthew "Ari" Walker. OG still qualified for Dacha and DreamLeague season 22 with their new roster.

Ceb is taking their defeats in stride, learning from them, and admitting that right now they aren't on par with the best in the world.

"We learned a lot as a team, I mean I think we came in like we were not on par with the best teams, because we came from qualifier teams which are really good but they don't have the same meta and the teams here are the sharpest you can find. So a lot of things we were confident in just got broken on the first day so we had to adapt, I think we did a good job at adapting, I think our last two series kind of show it. But at the end of the day, we are just getting outclassed, there's no other words."

OG Esports next appearance will be at DreamLeague 22, which begins on February 25th.
