After five days of spectacular Dota 2, the Group stage at BetBoom Dacha Dubai ends. Out of 12 teams, eight moved to the Playoffs, and four got eliminated. Xtreme Gaming showed extreme resilience during their games and took the No. 1 spot in their group, losing only two games overall. While we expected Gaimin Gladiators to do the same in their group, the other teams didn't think so.

Group A became more of a balanced group as the days went on. Gaimin Gladiators, LGD Gaming, Team Falcons, and Team Liquid share the same 6W-4L score and will face each other in tie-breakers tomorrow.

Eliminated Teams

Aurora and Virtus.pro, however, are eliminated from the BetBoom Dacha. Without being able to win a single series, both teams scored 3W-7L and were placed last in their group.

VP's coach Sergei "G" Bragin said: "It's kind of relief that we're not as bad, but we really feel like we underperformed."

Though VP and Aurora are exiting earlier in the tournament, they can't wait to get back to training for the upcoming DreamLeague S22.

The Underdogs

Team Falcons, which qualified from the new MENA region, was not expected to perform as well as they did. Many thought that the MENA region did not have formidable teams as seen in other regions and waited for them to choke. But the Falcons did not give in and managed to pull through, even taking a series off the Gladiators. Their unorthodox strategies and item build secured their spot alongside GG and the others.

This group showcased the difference in skill between each team. With the Dota 2 veteran Wang "Ame" Chunyu joining the squad, Xtreme Gaming has looked significantly better than before. Let's hope to see their dominating performance continue in the Playoffs.

Team Spirit, as we have seen many times, gets stronger as the tournament continues. Much like Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov, we also look forward to Spirit clashing with Xtreme Gaming.

Azure Ray beat BetBoom Team 2-0 in their last series, making sure there was no chance for a tie-breaker. Will this renewed squad be able to reverse sweep and win the tournament as they did in ESL One Kuala Lumpur? However, the competition got tougher, with Team Spirit and Xtreme Gaming in the Playoffs.

Eliminated Teams

Nouns and OG were eliminated from Group B due to their poor performance. Though they beat many strong teams to get here, they couldn't keep up with the other teams in their group. With a final score of 3W-7L, Nouns, and OG leave the competition earlier than expected.
