OG managed to secure the available qualifier spot for their region in several tournaments. But LANs and qualifiers aren't the same and OG hasn't had the success they were hoping for so far.

Following a disappointing performance at the BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, the team has decided to undergo a roster shuffle. As part of this, OG has benched their star safelaner, Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev.

The player played a pivotal part in OG 2.0, where he helped the team secure two Major trophies. With him being part of the inactive roster, only a single player from OG 2.0 remains active.

Impressive Achievements

Yuragi became a part of OG in 2021 when the team decided to overhaul their roster. Named OG 2.0, the former two-time TI Champion organization gave young stars a shot. In typical OG-Cinderella fashion, the new generation of OG yielded tremendous success.

In their debut year, the team showcased tremendous potential. They even added two more Major trophies to OG’s already impressive trophy collection.

That’s not all. The team even managed to force a veteran player out of retirement. The legendary player Sébastien "Ceb" Debs stood in for OG at the ESL One Stockholm 2022, and the results reignited his passion for the game.

Dark Days

Following their successful debut year, the team started showing cracks. Moreover, their team could not outrun their dark clouds as they had one of the worst years in 2023. For the first time in the organization’s history, OG failed to qualify for The Internationals.

The team decided to undergo a roster shuffle for the upcoming 2024 Dota 2 professional season. They retained their safelaner and midlaner and recruited two players from different parts of the world. The new generation of OG was led by Ceb, who is a former two-time champion.

The team had a promising start. OG displayed an impressive performance at both the BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 and DreamLeague Season 22 qualifiers. However, their luck ran out once they reached BetBoom Dacha 2024, as they ended up at the bottom of their groups and were among the first teams to be eliminated. These results prompted them to make changes to their roster.

Following Yuragi’s move to the team’s inactive roster, the team’s newest safelaner is yet to be announced. Currently, OG’s roster is as follows:

  • TBD
  • Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov
  • Adrián "Wisper" Dobles
  • Matthew "Ari" Walker
  • Sébastien "Ceb" Debs

Some veterans would love to join OG, but the team seems to be considering giving a chance to a promising new player instead. However, time is running out as DreamLeague Season 22 is scheduled to start on February 25th, so the team will need to make an announcement soon.
