Bwipo Reportedly in Talks With CBLOL Team for Jungle Return in 2027

RED Canids is in talks with Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau for the 2027 CBLOL season, according to a report published by Sheep Esports on Thursday (October 22).

The potential signing would see him play jungle in League of Legends, despite spending most of his career as a top laner.

Sheep Esports also reports that Bwipo approached LOUD and offered to play jungle. No signing has been announced, and an agreement with RED Canids has yet to be confirmed.

While best known as a top laner, Bwipo has experience in the role he could take on at RED. He reached the LEC final as Fnatic's jungler in 2021. In 2026, he also played jungle for Forsaken before joining Estral Esports as a top laner.

Bwipo's Stint in Brazil

Bwipo joined Estral for the second split of the 2026 Circuito Desafiante and won the title with a perfect 19-0 record. The team could not repeat that success in the Promotion Tournament, however, losing 3-2 to KaBuM! Ilha das Lendas and missing out on a spot in the 2027 CBLOL.

In September, Bwipo said his priority was to return to the LEC, where he hopes to end his career. During the same MD3 Podcast interview, however, he left open the possibility of staying in Brazil if he could not return to Europe.

According to Sheep Esports, Estral is expected to release its players without charging transfer fees, which would allow Bwipo to negotiate a move to another team.

RED Canids Weighs STEPZ's Future for 2027

RED Canids' interest in Bwipo comes amid uncertainty over Eloy “STEPZ” Rodríguez's future. In a separate report, Sheep Esports said the organization was considering a change in the jungle due to the Venezuelan player's difficulties obtaining visas to compete in international tournaments.

The issue had already affected the team at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational in China, when STEPZ was unable to travel and Gabriel “Aegis” Lemos had to stand in for him. According to the report, RED offered to help with his documentation, but the proposal also included a salary reduction that the jungler was unhappy with.

So far, none of the parties involved has commented publicly on Bwipo's potential move.
