BLEED Esports has officially announced a significant shift in their roster strategy as they prepare for the 2025 VCT season. The organization took to X to reveal that they are placing the majority of their roster on restricted free agency, signaling a comprehensive overhaul of their lineup.

The post read, "As the VCT season concludes, BLEED Esports is preparing for a roster overhaul in 2025. The following players are now Restricted Free Agents:

From Ascension Success to VCT Struggles

BLEED Esports' journey to the VCT Pacific League was marked by a triumphant victory in the VCT Ascension Pacific 2023. Earning them promotion to Tier 1 and a two-year contract to compete in the VCT Pacific League.

However, this ascent to the top tier of competition has proven to be a challenging experience for the team. Despite the high-profile signing of Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker for the 2024 season, BLEED Esports struggled to find their footing in the big leagues.

Throughout the 2024 season, BLEED consistently found themselves at the bottom of the standings in all competitions. The team managed to secure only one win during the entire season. Thus highlighting the need for a significant shake-up in their roster.

Plans for 2025

With one year remaining in their VCT Pacific contract, BLEED Esports is now focused on maximizing their potential in the upcoming 2025 season. The decision to place most of their roster on restricted free agency opens the door for new talent to join the team.

While the details of the new roster remain unclear, it won’t be outside the realm of possibility that BLEED builds their next lineup around the two remaining active players. Namely, Natchaphon "sScary" Matarat and Ngô "crazyguy" Công Anh.

A roster overhaul could be the fresh start BLEED Esports needs to compete more effectively in the VCT Pacific League. The success of this strategy, however, will depend on the caliber of players they bring in to complement their remaining stars.

As the 2025 season approaches, all eyes will be on BLEED Esports to see how they adapt and evolve in the highly competitive environment of Tier 1 VALORANT.
