BLAST R6 Regional Leagues Takeaways: Six More Teams join the list for Manchester

As the BLAST R6 Regional Leagues drew to a close, the anticipation soared higher for the upcoming Manchester Major. With thrilling competitions spanning across Europe, Oceania, Japan, and South Korea, the path to Manchester was paved with intense showdowns and remarkable feats.

In this recap, we delve into the culmination of the BLAST R6 Europe League, BLAST R6 Oceania League, BLAST R6 Japan League LCQ, and BLAST R6 South Korea League LCQ.

With South Korea and Japan League LCQs on the 20th and 21st of March respectively, followed by the Europe and Oceania leagues concluding on the 24th of March, the stage was set for six teams to secure their spots in the prestigious Manchester Major.

Europe League

The BLAST R6 Europe League showcased an intense battle among the region's top Rainbow Six Siege teams, culminating in thrilling playoffs and crucial Manchester Major qualifications.

During the regular season, BDS emerged as the dominant force, claiming the top spot with an impressive record of 7 wins and 1 loss. Hot on their heels were Team Secret, Into the Breach, and Wolves Esports, each securing 5 wins and 3 losses, positioning themselves as formidable contenders. Fnatic and G2 secured the final playoff spots, finishing with 4 wins and 4 losses each. Unfortunately, ENCE, Virtus.pro, and WYLDE fell short of playoff contention, finishing 7th, 8th, and 9th respectively.

Heading into the playoffs, BDS and Team Secret, finishing 1st and 2nd in the regular season, earned coveted byes to the semifinals. However, Team Secret faced a surprising defeat at the hands of Into the Breach in a fiercely contested semifinal matchup. Meanwhile, BDS showcased their dominance by overcoming Wolves Esports in the semifinals, securing their spot in the Upper Bracket Final.

In a gripping showdown in the Upper Bracket Final, BDS continued their stellar performance, prevailing over Into the Breach and clinching the Europe League title. However, the action didn't end there as Team Secret, determined to redeem themselves, ultimately triumphing over Wolves Esports in the Lower Bracket Finals, securing the final qualification spot for the Manchester Major.

With BDS, Into the Breach, and Team Secret emerging as the top contenders, the BLAST R6 Europe League not only provided thrilling matches but also set the stage for an electrifying Manchester Major.

Oceania League

The Oceania League of the BLAST R6 series unfolded with Team Bliss emerging as an unstoppable force, dominating the competition from start to finish.

In the regular season, Team Bliss asserted their dominance by securing the top spot with a flawless record of 7 wins and 0 losses. Their impeccable performance earned them a direct qualification to the playoffs, setting a formidable precedent for their competitors. Following closely behind was Man eSports LFO, claiming 2nd place with 5 wins and 2 losses. Thus securing their spot in the postseason alongside Team Bliss.

As the playoffs commenced, Team Bliss capitalized on their semifinal bye. They displayed their prowess by swiftly dispatching Antic Esports in a dominant fashion. Their commanding performance propelled them into the Grand Final, where they faced off against Man eSports LFO.

In a thrilling showdown, Team Bliss showcased their exceptional skills and strategic prowess, securing a convincing 2-0 victory over Man eSports LFO. With this resounding win, Team Bliss not only clinched the Oceania League title. But also secured the sole qualification spot for the highly anticipated BLAST R6 Manchester Major.

South Korea and Japan LCQ

In the intense battles of the South Korea and Japan League LCQs, FearX and CAG Osaka emerged as the triumphant teams. Thus securing their spots in the upcoming BLAST R6 Manchester Major.

In the South Korea LCQ, FearX showcased their dominance with an unbeaten run, starting from the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. They swiftly defeated 123 Team, Beyond Stratos Gaming, and Dplus in best-of-ones to advance to the Grand Final. Despite Dplus's valiant efforts, they couldn't overcome FearX in the rematch. FearX secured a 2-1 victory and claimed the coveted qualification spot for the Manchester Major.

Similarly, in the Japan LCQ, CAG Osaka displayed their prowess, beginning their journey from the Upper Bracket. They triumphed over Crest Gaming Lst, KINOTROPE Gaming, and VITE in best-of-ones, securing their place in the Grand Final. Despite KINOTROPE Gaming's resilience in the lower bracket, they couldn't thwart CAG Osaka's dominance. In a decisive 2-1 victory, CAG Osaka emerged victorious.Cclinching the qualification spot for the Manchester Major in a commanding fashion.

The BLAST R6 Regional Leagues and LCQs have delivered a spectacle of competitive Rainbow Six Siege. Showcasing the skill and determination of teams from across Europe, Oceania, Japan, and South Korea. With six deserving teams now set to compete in the prestigious BLAST R6 Manchester Major, the stage is set for an exhilarating display of talent and strategy.
