Yesterday, The Turkish esports organization, BBL Esports, announced the departure of their 2023 IGL Ibrahim “SouhcNi” Sagir from the Valorant roster. The departure come after the team’s disappointing run at the VCT EMEA League and the knockout loss at the VCT EMEA LCQ.

The Turkish BBL Esports:

BBL Esports has been one of the frontrunners of Turkish Valorant. They were the runner-ups for the VCT 2021 Turkey Masters. Throughout 2022, the team regularly represented Turkey on the EMEA stage. Unfortunately, they could not secure an International LAN qualification.

With their accomplishments in Turkey and the team’s strong social presence, they were selected amongst the ten VCT EMEA partner teams. The team brought in Brave from SMB to strengthen their squad further. They still needed a strong and experienced IGL to lead the team and pave the way. To fill the IGL role, BBL Esports brought in SouhcNi from Fire Flux Esports.

BBL Esports and Souhcni:

SouhcNi led the team from the front and had some amazing performances throughout the year. During his tenure on the team, BBL had an unbeatable Ascent. On the map, they defeated teams like Fnatic and DRX.

Despite the upgrades, the team could not keep up with the International competition. Throughout the year, they displayed some amazing Valorant, but unfortunately, they did not qualify for the VCT EMEA Playoffs. At the VCT EMEA LCQ, the team was eliminated by Karmine Corp in the first game.

The Future:

After such a disappointing season, BBL esports was due a change. Yesteday, they announced that the team and SouhcNi have mutually decided to part ways. SouhcNi also expressed his gratitude for the team and the organization yesterday.

With SouhcNi gone, it’d be interesting to see who the replacement would be. The team already has exceptional individual talent and adding a seasoned IGL might work wonders for the team. At the moment, there are no rumors about Souhcni’s replacement. Follow the BBL Esports Twitter/X page for the updates on the roster. You can also follow the VCT 2024 rostermania on Strafe.
