A few hours ago, the North American esports organization Sentinels announced the return of Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro to the Valorant squad. Zellsis will join the organization as the Valorant squad’s sixth man/substitute. This is Zellsis's second run with the organization, previously, he was a part of the Sentinels 2022 LCQ team, alongside Shroud, Dapr, Shazam and Tenz. With the addition of Zellsis and johnqt, Sentinels Valorant is shaping up to be one of the best squads in North America.

Zellsis and Sentinels Valorant:

After almost retiring from competitive Valorant in 2022, V1 Zellsis returned to competitive play with the 2022 NA LCQ Sentinels. The team featured Shroud and TenZ and was one of the most watched squads in North America.  This new Sentinels had many doubters, but they exceeded the expectations with their solid performance at the event. They were amongst the toughest teams to beat at LCQ. Unfortunely, 100 Thieves, the eventual winners, eliminated them from the competition. Zellsis was the shining star for the roster and displayed amazing dexterity with multiple agents.

After the LCQ, Zellsis signed with Cloud9. With Zellsis, Leaf, Xeppa, Vanity and Yay, Cloud9 had created a Goliath to take down the VCT Americas. Unfortunately, Yay and Vanity were let go from the roster after an early upset at LOCK//IN. With Jake and Runi coming in, Cloud9 looked unexpectedly good and came into the VCT Americas playoffs as the second seed behind LOUD. But losing to EG and then NRG concluded their playoffs run. At VCT Americas LCQ, the team lost to Leviatan concluding their VCT 2023 season.

The VCT 2024 Sentinels:

After missing Valorant Champions 2023, Cloud9 Valorant decided to let go of Zellsis and multiple other players[rumored]. A few days ago, Zellsis announced his free agency on Twitter.

A few hours ago, Sentinels announced the return of Zellsis to the roster. In the announcement video, Kaplan announces that Zellsis will be the team’s substitute. The team was already stacked but with Zellsis in the mix, they are shaping up to be the best team in North America.

Talking about his decision Zellsis said:

"I had a lot of offers to compete, everywhere...they were very good offers from very good teams...Originally, I would've like to stayed in NA. When franchising was announced I wanted to stay with an organization as long as possible and retire with the same org, with Sen I can do that. Joining Sen they'd help me build my brand ever more than what it is... the way esports is right now, I wanted a bit of stability in my life. I ended up joining Sen because they are stable. I love them, they love me and we have a mutual respect for each other. "

With Zellsis as the sub, The VCT 2024 Sentinels Valorant is as follows:

  • Zachary “zekken” Patrone
  • Bryan “pANcada” Luna
  • Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi
  • Tyson “TenZ” Ngo
  • Mohamed Amine "JohnQT" Ouarid
  • Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro
  • Adam “Kaplan” Kaplan (Head Coach)
  • Drew “DrewSpark” Spark-Whitworth (Asst. Coach)

VALORANT does not offer crossplay between PC and console. This means that PC players can only match and play against other PC players, and console players (PS5 and Xbox) players can only match and play against other console players. While there is no crossplay in VALORANT, the game does support cross progression, which means that your account, skins, and any other form of progress carry from one platform to the other (from PC to console, and vice versa).
