China and Southeast Asia went head to head at The International 13 with tournament lives on the line. Xtreme Gaming and Aurora are the only two non-European teams at TI13 and the series was the end of the line for Aurora.

Despite a valiant attempt in game two, Aurora couldn't handle the Chinese aggression and went home with a 7-8th finish at The International, while Xtreme continues to claw their way through the Lower Bracket

Game one of the series was a one-sided stomp in favor of Xtreme Gaming. Luckily for Dota 2 fans, game delivered plenty of excitement.

Both teams dug deep into their hero pools in game two and brought up some fascinating ideas. Aurora's Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong picked the first Lycan of the event and used the Alpha Wolves facet along with a Nullifier to hunt down enemy supports, a perfect counter to Xtreme's Pugna.

Wang "Ame" Chunyu also focused on hunting enemy heroes, but he had a bigger target on his mind than the supports. Picking the often-misused Time Zone facet on Faceless Void, Ame kept finding and killing Artem "lorenof" Melnick' on Storm Spirit. Lorenof had no impact in game two due to the constant pressure from Ame.

It was an impressive hold by Aurora as they lasted nearly an hour against the non-stop onslaught from Xtreme Gaming but in they end they tapped out. This leave no SEA teams at TI 13 and only one non-European lineup on the main event.
