New VCT 2026 Melee Capsule: All You Need To Know

New VCT 2026 Melee Capsule: All You Need To Know

With Masters Santiago just around the corner, the VCT 2026 Season Capsule is expected to arrive soon. Images and animation videos of its melee weapon have already begun circulating online. According to recent leaks, the melee appears to be a Sigil Knife.

Unlike Team Capsules, whose revenue is distributed based on team-specific sales, a portion of the Season Capsule bundle's revenue will be split evenly among all teams in the VCT. In 2025, the Season and Team Capsules combined generated over $25 million in less than a month.

If past trends hold, the items in the bundle will not be available for individual purchase. To contribute to the VCT ecosystem and access the contents, players will need to buy the full bundle. Here's everything we know about the VCT 2026 Season Capsule so far.

Melee Variants and Animation

The VCT Season Capsule, unlike the Team Capsules, typically features a single VCT-themed melee skin, accompanied by regional player cards and gun buddies. The melee skin will include four variants, each representing one of the four international regions: Red (China), Orange (Americas), Blue (Pacific), and Green (EMEA).

Based on the latest leaks, here is a first look at how the skin appears in-game:

VCT 2026 Season Capsule Potential Release Date

The 2026 Season Capsule is expected to arrive soon, with reports suggesting a release window between February 14 and 21. Last year, the capsule was added to the game two weeks before the start of Masters Bangkok. With Masters Santiago scheduled to begin on February 28, the 2026 capsule could launch as early as this week.

Past trends suggest the bundle's expiration may coincide with the conclusion of Masters Santiago. However, this remains unconfirmed, and we will need to wait for official details to know more.

Expected Price

Riot Games has yet to reveal the pricing for the VCT 2026 Season Capsule. Last year, the capsule cost 5,850 VP and included one melee skin (with four variants), four player cards, and four gun buddies. This year's capsule could carry a similar price point.

The VCT Season Capsule was introduced in 2025 as an additional way for Valorant players to support their favorite esports teams. While it functions similarly to Team Capsules, the latter does not distribute revenue evenly among organizations. The Season Capsule ensures that even teams with lower-selling Team Skins receive financial support, helping them prepare for the VCT season.
