The wait for VALORANT Mobile might be nearing its end. A recent leak tied to Tencent Games’ upcoming SPARK 2025 event has reignited rumors about the mobile release of Riot Games’ hit tactical shooter. With the community on high alert and China’s public beta well underway, all eyes are now on April 22nd for what could be a major announcement.

While Riot has remained mostly silent about a specific release date, the community is buzzing with anticipation.

Leaked Promo Suggests Reveal at Tencent SPARK 2025

The rumors were reignited after X user @VALORANTLeaksEN posted a video that appears to be a teaser for the upcoming Tencent Games SPARK 2025 event. The promo showcases several well-known IPs owned by Tencent and its subsidiaries, including VALORANT, giving rise to speculation that a reveal related to VALORANT Mobile is planned.

What solidifies these rumors even further are the creation of official VALORANT Mobile social media accounts on various Chinese platforms.

Tencent’s SPARK 2025 is set to take place on April 22nd, and while the company has yet to confirm any specific VALORANT news, fans and industry insiders believe that the event may include the long-awaited official release date of VALORANT Mobile.

Public Beta Testing in China

Earlier this year, VALORANT Mobile entered public beta testing in China, a crucial step in its development process. As reported earlier by Strafe, the beta test lifted all NDA restrictions, allowing streamers and content creators to showcase the game publicly. This move has led to a surge of gameplay footage and impressions on Chinese platforms, offering the global community its first real look at how the game performs on handheld devices.

Feedback from players has generally been positive, particularly regarding how well the game translates the PC experience to touch controls without sacrificing competitive integrity. Riot appears to be prioritizing a seamless transition between the core gameplay mechanics that made VALORANT popular and the needs of mobile players.

New Features Designed for Mobile Experience

As the game edges closer to a full release, Riot has also begun unveiling mobile-specific features. One of the most exciting additions is a built-in replay and highlights system, which will be available at launch, according to another one of our earlier reports. This feature will allow players to view their recent matches, analyze gameplay, and even share highlight clips directly from the app.

Additionally, the mobile version of the game will also include a unique customization system optimized for mobile devices, including flexible HUD adjustments and new quality-of-life settings tailored for mobile controls.

A New Era of Competitive Mobile FPS?

If VALORANT Mobile receives a global release in 2025, it could mark a major shift in the competitive mobile gaming landscape. The success of titles like Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG Mobile has proven the viability of competitive shooters on smartphones, and Riot's tactical shooter could very well become the next big thing in mobile esports.

As we await more news at SPARK 2025 on April 22nd, one thing is clear: the launch of VALORANT Mobile might be closer than we think.
