Swiss Stage Opening Matchups

Following the conclusion of VCT Americas Stage 1 and with less than a fortnight to the start of Masters London, we now have the opening matchups for the Swiss Stage.

  • Team Vitality vs Dragon Ranger Gaming
  • FULL SENSE vs FUT Esports
  • Leviatán vs Global Esports
  • XLG Esports vs NRG

A couple of promising contenders in the form of Team Vitality, FULL SENSE, and Leviatán make this stage fairly compelling to tune in. Global Esports showed strong promise as well, but expectations are tempered by this being their first international outing.

What to Expect from Masters London 2026?

The usual suspects are all in attendance at this second Masters. NRG and Paper Rex are the two obvious contenders when it comes to deep international runs (as evidenced by Santiago). G2 are generally considered the third wheel contender, always strong but yet to really match that potential internationally.

London is also extra exciting given that it's the first outing for the Team Vitality 'superteam' as well as the rookie squad Global Esports. We also have a couple of notable 'newer' teams that have shown potential domestically: namely Leviatán, FULL SENSE, and XLG.

Can an EMEA team lift a Masters trophy again for the first time since the 2023 Tokyo? Will NRG or G2 bring home another international trophy for the Americas? Or will Paper Rex continue the APAC Masters streak for the 5th consecutive trophy?

All these questions will have an answer at the fast-approaching Masters London 2026, starting June 6th. Catch the action live on Twitch or YouTube. Follow your favourite team's path through Masters London with the Strafe app for brackets, match schedules, live scores, and more.
