G2 Esports Win Their 4th VCT Americas Title
G2 continues to dominate Americas VALORANT as they win their fourth regional title at 2026 VCT Americas: Stage 1.
G2 Esports runs the Americas
G2 Esports’ VCT Americas: Stage 1 journey started with losses to MIBR and Leviatán. These losses, paired with the Kickoff and Santiago runs, led many to discount their strength.
G2 Esports, however, has always been comfortable starting with a disadvantage, having qualified for the main stage via Ascension. Starting week 3, they turned their fate around, winning against LOUD, ENVY, and Cloud9 to place 2nd in their group.

The momentum from the 3-game win streak helped them dominate the opening round and Upper Round Semifinals to qualify for Masters London and the Upper Finals.
Leviatán, who previously defeated them in the Group stage, won the fixture again, sending G2 Esports to the Lower bracket, where they took down NRG 3-2.
The rematch started with an OT victory for G2 Esports, followed by convincing Haven and Ascent wins from Leviatán. G2 won Pearl, forcing Split.
Despite starting 0-3, Leviatán won the first half of Split 7-5. G2 Esports secured the second half of the pistol, and a 1v2 Jawgemo clutch stopped their opponents in their tracks and won back momentum to win the final map 13-11.

With the map win, G2 secured their fourth Americas title since 2025. Despite the Americas’ teams putting up a solid defense, they have consistently proven regionally that they do not have competitors.
Enroute Masters London
While G2 Esports has dominated regionally, international glory evades them. The squad seems to falter at the worst time, thus missing out on the big trophies.
Despite attending the Masters and Champions as Americas’ first seed on three different occasions, their best placement was a second-place finish at Bangkok, where they were the favorites to win.
If G2 Esports want to be recognised as one of the strongest squads in the world, they have to win that overdue international title; another misstep at London will certainly raise eyebrows.
VALORANT action now returns with Masters London, starting June 6th, where 12 teams will clash to lift a trophy in the Copper Box Arena. Stay tuned on Strafe for more updated guides and news on the tournament.
