On June 27, Valorant is set to dazzle players with the release of its latest skinline, Evori Dreamwings. This new addition promises a blend of magical aesthetics and dynamic gameplay enhancements, making it a must-have for any Valorant enthusiast. Let’s delve into what makes Evori Dreamwings truly special.

Inspirations

Product Manager Laura Baltzer stated that the Magical Girl genre deeply inspired the creation of the Evori Dreamwings skinline. The development process was challenging, involving many first-time efforts to ensure the skinline resonated with players who cherish this genre.

“There were so many inspirations for Evori Dreamwings. Magical Girls is a genre that so many people on the team have grown up with and still love to this day. The stories, but also the art and the music, have been making us smile for a long time. It sounds cheesy to say, but really the members of the team inspired me every day.”-Laura Baltzer, Product Manager @ Riot Games

But the little critters didn't exist from the beginning of the design process and were added in much later. But after going through many variations, the current familiars were chosen as the developers and designers wanted to "wanted players to be able to see bits of their own personalities and feelings in the Familiars."

Personalization Galore

Players can personalize their weapons with four color options: lavender, pink, green, and orange. These variants not only change the weapon’s appearance but also the visual effects of the finisher, allowing players to coordinate and assemble unique teams with their friends.

The Evori Dreamwings skinline also comes with an array of accessories, including:

  • Ghost
  • Spectre
  • Odin
  • Vandal
  • Melee (Evori's Spellcaster)
  • Gun Buddy (Interactive, reaccts to nearby Dreamwings buddies)
  • 5  x Player Cards (Animated)
  • 5 Titles (Matching)

Magical Familiars with Unique Personalities

Central to the Evori Dreamwings skinline are its charming familiars, each imbued with distinct magical traits and personalities. These companions include Evori, Lunari, Solari, Terrari, and Amari. Each familiar not only accompanies players throughout matches but also reacts and emotes based on gameplay actions.

  • Evori, the Butterfly: Symbolizes transformation and growth.
  • Lunari, the Cat: A natural leader, symbolizing the moon and night.
  • Solari, the Mouse: Energetic and bold, symbolizing stars and fireworks.
  • Terrari, the Rabbit: Strong and loyal, symbolizing diamonds and nature.
  • Amari, the Bear: Kind and loving, symbolizing love and hearts.

These familiars transform, animate, and even show their moods—jumping when players jump, getting focused during ADS, and even falling asleep if left idle for too long.

“In designing each Familiar, we intentionally crafted distinct personalities for each one, aiming to enhance these personalities with unique facial expressions.”

Including a brand new idle pose, equip, left and right lick animations as well as a brand new inspect. Evori's Spellcaster wand also comes included with its own familiar - Evori, who will flutter around during inspects and provides unique effects and sounds.
