After winning their respective matches to open Round 4 of the Swiss Stage, Top Esports and Hanwha Life Esports become the next two teams to qualify for the Quarterfinals of Worlds 2024.

With their wins, TES and HLE will join LNG Esports and Gen.G as the first four teams to make it to the Quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, Dplus KIA and FlyQuest move down to a 2-2 scoreline in the Swiss Stage, and their next series will decide whether they move on or are eliminated from Worlds altogether.

Top Esports sprint to Quarters

Top Esports started the day by oozing confidence in a strong showing against Dplus KIA.

The team's ability to play into Yone was particularly commendable. As well, heading into future series, TES' willingness to hand Creme the reigns on Aurora will be extremely pivotal.

After winning a one-sided Game 1 vs DK, TES unexpectedly allowed a player of Showmaker's caliber to get his hands on one of the strongest mid lane champions at Worlds: Yone. TES, however, expertly nullified Showmaker's attempts to take over the game, thanks in no small part to Creme's Aurora.

Though the game was certainly a more competitive affair this time around, the Yone pick ultimately proved ineffective as TES walked away the victors of a bloody match.

In true LPL style, TES amassed 41 kills across just two games, setting up a relentless pace with which DK simply couldn't keep up.

As for DK, despite the team rushing to a quick 2-0 in the Swiss Stage, the LCK's third seed are down to their last life as their next series will be their final chance to make it to the Quarterfinals of Worlds 2024.

Result: Top Esports 2 - 0 Dplus KIA

Hanwha Life and FlyQuest put on a show

With the #1 LCK seed in front of them, few people expected much from FlyQuest coming into the series. FLY, however, were not ready to go down easily, and immediately begun throwing curveballs to start the match.

Coming into Game 1, FLY opted to dig into the playbook as they drafted Urgot, Amumu, Cassiopeia, Kalista and Renata Glasc in a composition designed to make life impossible for Doran and Zeka in teamfights. And it almost worked.

Ultimately, Viper decided enough was enough as he constantly outplayed FlyQuest on Kai'Sa on his way to finishing the game with a 7/2/1 scoreline.

FlyQuest, however, showed off their depth yet again by picking Nunu in the jungle for Game 2.

A pick HLE surely had very little practice against, if any whatsoever, the South Korean team looked lost as they struggled to deal with the pick and its ability to enable Quad's Hwei to operate seamlessly across the map.

FLY outplayed HLE across several key team fights on their way to evening up the series against all odds.

HLE step on the gas

The dream, however, ultimately would not come to be.

HLE collectively decided it was time to show FLY who's boss by drafting to their strengths and launching off to an early lead in the final game.

Though FLY's attempts at climbing back were constant and not without merit, Peanut put up an incredible performance on Skarner by showing up everywhere on the map in the early game and playing team fights to perfection. In the end, Peanut did just enough to drag his team past the finish line against a combative North American squad.

Though FlyQuest may have lost in the end, the team will come into their next and final series of the Swiss Stage full of confidence after putting up such a strong performance against a team that is among the favorites to win it all at Worlds 2024.

Result: Hanwha Life Esports 2 - 1 FlyQuest
