Team Spirit Dominate MOUZ to Win BLAST Open Porto 2026

Team Spirit entered BLAST Open Porto 2026 as the favorites to win this Counter-Strike trophy. After dominating their way through the Group Stage and Semifinals, they entered the Super Bock Arena ready to lift the trophy. 

Waiting for them were MOUZ, who previously denied them the BLAST Bounty Summer title. But donk and co. did not flinch, completely dominating MOUZ to lift the back-to-back trophies. 

Favorites to Win

After winning EWC, Team Spirit entered BLAST Open Porto as the favorites to win it all. The pressure, however, had little effect on the team as they dominated their group, taking down DENDELE CS, FURIA, and G2 to secure a semifinal spot. 

While the results were expected, it's the fashion in which Spirit achieved them that solidified their claim on the trophy. Across three Bo3 series, Spirit did not drop a map and only let their opponents secure a double-digit score once. 

In the Semifinals, they decimated Team Falcons on map 1 and effortlessly closed out the series 2-0. The victory only gets sweeter for the Russian squad, as it was Falcons that eliminated them from the Cologne Major. 

The win also set donk and co. up for another revenge matchup, this time against MOUZ, who won BLAST Bounty Summer over Team Spirit. 

Dominant Grand Finals 

After starting their map pick with a 4-round deficit, Team Spirit recovered to tie the first half. On the CT side, Team Spirit completely shut down MOUZ, winning the map 13-8. Their defense domination continued on Mirage, as they limited MOUZ to four rounds. 

Their Mirage T side struggle struck again, however, as MOUZ came back to win the map 13-11, equalizing the series. 

The next two maps were utter dominance; Team Spirit outclassed MOUZ on Ancient and Nuke, winning the series 3-1. This is Spirit’s second trophy of the season, further cementing their status as the favorites for upcoming tournaments. 

Is Team Spirit the Best Team of the Season? 

While it is early in the season, Team Spirit’s wins at EWC and now at Porto, after a BLAST Bounty runner-up finish, definitely set them up as the favorites to lift coming trophies for the rest of the season. 

Team Vitality’s poor form and Team Falcons' inability to capitalise on the Cologne Major momentum only add to Spirit’s favourite status. 

Furthermore, Team Spirit have been looking much more cohesive, similar to how they looked at Astana and the Major. If they keep improving at the same pace, they will enter the Singapore Major as the team to beat.
