After an internationally disappointing season, today, 4th November, Team Liquid Valorant has finally announced the VCT 2024 roster. The roster retains Ayaz “nAts” Akmetshin and Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen and has added the former Apeks core of James “Mistic” Orfila, Enzo “Enzo” Mestari and Georgio “Keiko” Sanassy.

The former Apeks squad dominated the VCL NE Polaris Splits 1 and 2 and qualified for the VCT EMEA Ascension 2023. The team dominated until the Grand finals but fumbled, losing on the Ascension spot to the French Gentle Mates.

Keiko, Enzo and Mistic were the top three best rated players in the VCL NE Polaris. The trio continued their domination at the VCT EMEA Ascension 2023. Unfortunately the loss meant the team couldn't continue further. Apeks announced the departure of the entire roster on the 2nd November.

Enzo and Mistic are well-known Tier 1 quantities previously being part of the 2022 Fnatic roster. The duo, along with the Fnatic squad, dominated EMEA in 2022. Unfortunately, the roster struggled internationally. The duo departed Fnatic after Valorant Champions 2022 but played together in Apeks to dominate Tier 2.

Keiko is a relatively newer face for Tier 1 Valorant. His expeditions with Apeks surely garnered him attention. He has previously played for multiple T2 organizations and competed in Valorant Regional Leagues.

Despite lacking big names as compared to VCT 2023 roster, this iteration of Team Liquid offers the much needed stability and role distinction. Hopefully the roster fulfills the expectations and brings in the much needed International trophies for the organization.

The VCT 2024 Team Liquid Valorant squad is as follows:

  • Ayaz “nAts” Akmetshin
  • Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen
  • James “Mistic” Orfila
  • Enzo “Enzo” Mestari (IGL)
  • Georgio “Keiko” Sanassy
  • Nico “Harmii” Harms (6th man)
  • Emil “eMIL” Sandgren (Head Coach)
  • Jake “Bacon9” Lloyd (Strategic Coach)

The squad will debut at the AfreecaTV Valorant League alongside Paper Rex, DRX, EDG, T1, Sentinels and more. The tournament will be held in Afreeca Colosseum in Seoul starting December 5.
