Blix.gg reporter Alejandro “anonimotum” Gomis has cited sources that indicate James “Mistic” Orfila is close to signing with Team Liquid. Mistic will be joining their Valorant roster for the 2024 season should the deal go through.

Moreover, Mistic will be competing in the VCT EMEA. This means he will face off against former teammates from Fnatic, who also compete in the same league. This comes off the heels of the announcement that his former teammate Martin “Magnum” Peňkov has come to a similar verbal agreement with Karmine Corp.

With the addition of Mistic, Team Liquid appears to be finalizing their roster, having already secured verbal agreements with Georgio “Keiko” Sanassy and Enzo “Enzo” Mestari.

This places four of the former Apeks roster in the 2024 VCT EMEA season. Despite falling to Gentle Mates in the Grand Finals of VCT EMEA Ascension, the players will be returning to Tier 1 Valorant.

Team Liquid also announced earlier in the month that Igor “Redgar” Vlasov is set to leave the team. The former Gambit/M3C/Team Liquid IGL has been connected to Giants Gaming after news of their own IGL, Emir “rhyme” Muminovic, retiring. In the same vein, star player Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel has been announced as the newest addition to Team Vitality. Moreover, Dom “soulcas” Sulcas has announced his free agency in the off-season.

The finalized Liquid roster (should it materialize) will include:

  • Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen
  • Ayaz “nAts” Akhmetshin
  • James “Mistic” Orfila
  • Georgio “Keiko” Sanassy
  • Enzo “Enzo” Mestari
