Just a month ago, Gumayusi and the rest of his T1 teammates were busy celebrating their record-setting third consecutive Worlds title. Now, they're set to take each other on in the Semifinals of the 2025 KeSPA Cup: T1 on one side, Gumayusi and Hanwha Life Esports on the other.

Friends to Foes

Gumayusi's decision to leave T1 right after winning a World Championship (for the third time, no less) was shocking enough as it was. Few people could have expected the star AD carry to have to face his former team so early into his new venture, though.

Both Hanwha Life and T1 have put up flawless runs at the 2025 KeSPA Cup so far, with HLE going 4-0 in Group A, and T1 going 3-0 in Group C. Their good runs of form means that the two squads are now set on a collision course. T1 vs Hanwha Life is set to take place on Thursday, December 11th, in a Bo3 series where the winners will move on to the Grand Finals.

Gumayusi vs Keria

Perhaps the most exciting part of this matchup will take place in the Bot Lane. It's worth noting that Keria has served as Gumayusi's Support and partner in crime throughout the ADC's entire career at the Tier-1 level. Now, for the first time ever, the two stars will be on opposite sides of the Rift in an official match.

Given that the two players should know each other's playstyles and preferences thoroughly, it will be interesting to see whether either of them is able to use this to his advantage and push his team to a Grand Finals appearance at this year's KeSPA Cup.
