A month ago they were winning their third consecutive World Championship together. Now, T1 and Gumayusi took each other on in the Grand Finals of the 2025 KeSPA Cup.

On his very first tournament for the team, Peyz did not let T1 down, putting on a stellar showing throughout the hard-fought finals to lead his team to the trophy and earn himself an MVP award in the process.

T1 vs Hanwha Life: Clash of Titans

As if it was ever going to go any other way, the Grand Finals between T1 and Hanwha Life Esports went the distance. The two teams had already played each other in the Semifinals of the tournament, where Hanwha Life were able to grab the 2-1 win.

This time, though, T1 flew out of the gates, taking the first two games of the finals in a quick and convincing fashion (27 and 24 minutes, respectively). HLE would not go down quietly, however. What would follow would be a bloody affair, with the two teams putting up a combined 121 kills in the next 2 games, with HLE coming out on top in both occasions.

After such grueling games, HLE seemed to run out of steam for the final bout of the tournament. In the end, the fifth game of the finals was a one sided affair that saw T1 roll to victory to close out the series 3-2, earning themselves yet another piece of silverware for their already impressive trophy wall.

Peyz Takes Over

Before the finals, Peyz was already having an impressive tournament (even claiming a pentakill vs HLE in their previous series). During the KeSPA Cup Grand Finals against none other than the reigning Worlds MVP ADC of Gumayusi, though, Peyz seemed out to prove a point. And prove it he did.

Throughout the series, Peyz was indomitable, putting up a total 5.2 KDA and a whopping 987 damage per minute. Though it is very early still, earning an MVP award in his very first tournament for T1 is a great start to Peyz' journey on his new team.
