The 2025 KeSPA Cup threw everyone for a loop when they announced that historic LCS organizations Cloud9 and Team Liquid would be joining the tournament. With every team from the LCK in attendance, it was clear the tournament was not going to be an easy test. Now, things just got a whole lot harder for the two LCS squads as the 2025 KeSPA Cup groups have been revealed.

Team Liquid Takes On the New T1 Squad

The offseason started off with a bang when it was announced that Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong was exiting T1 after winning three consecutive Worlds titles with the team. In his stead, the reigning champs brought on former Gen.G ADC Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan.

Now, we'll get to see how Peyz adapts to a team that is so used to winning on the big stage as T1 takes on Team Liquid in Group C of the KeSPA Cup 2025. Both teams will be fielding new players on their rosters, so if you're excited to see the new squads in action, make sure to catch Team Liquid vs T1 on Monday, December 8th, at 2 am PT.

Cloud9 Placed in the Group of Death

Fans of Cloud9 are in for a show. The LCS team got placed in Group A of the 2025 KeSPA Cup along with Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports; two of the very best teams in the world.

C9's only roster change is expected to come in the Mid Lane, a player who will be thrown straight to the wolves as he takes on Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon in his very first match for Cloud9 (which also happens to be the opening match of the KeSPA Cup). Catch Cloud9 vs Gen.G when the tournament kicks off on Saturday, December 5th, at 11 pm PT.
