On 4th October, Heroic announced the departure of Casper “cadiaN” Møller. The decision sent tremors to the depths of the CS world, as cadiaN had become synonymous with the team. Moreover, he was one of the better players in the game and had led Heroic to great heights.

On 25th October, they released a statement benching Martin “stavn” Lund and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard. The statement comments on aforementioned players ‘initiating a push’ to remove their former IGL.

In the statement, they also commented on how, ‘the situation was brought to an ultimatum’ and had to choose between cadiaN or the rest of the team. The two players followed their ‘coup’ with a contract from Astralis, leading to an implosion of team.

Following the disparaging statement, stavn took to X/Twitter to post the following:

Today, roughly two months later, he finally followed it up with a statement of his own.

Stavn and Jabbi’s reply to Heroic

In the statement, Stavn and Jabbi, collectively referred to as ‘Stabbi’ (coined by Launders), detail the events in chronological order.

The statement referenced how stavn initiated a conversation about the tumultuous nature of Heroic and was willing to ‘step back from the roster in order to deal with the situation.’

It was followed by the discussion involving their frustrations and ultimately led to cadiaN’s departure from the roster. While the rest of the team decided to stick together to find a new fifth.

Stabbi’s memoir also talked about ‘Heroic organization also was considering keeping cadiaN and building a team around him’, leading to trust issues and thus them to search for opportunities outside team.

The organization released a statement on 25th October, and they clarified that they did not agree on signing the contracts and hadn’t agreed with anyone yet.

The memoir further details the Astralis communication dated on 29th September and the duo's keenness on joining a bigger organization with amazing names. They conveyed the same to Heroic management. Followed by Astralis and Heroic handling the transfer.

Lastly, Stabbi, pleaded innocence on what conspired and had no intention to ‘push cadiaN out of Heroic or to hurt Heroic, cadiaN or anyone else’.
