A new Counter-Strike 2 superteam backed by Saudi investors is emerging as the Falcons reportedly add Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, the in-game leader of ENCE, to their roster.

Snappi 's Verbal Agreement with Falcons

Snappi remains committed to ENCE until his contract expires at the end of 2023. But he has reportedly given his verbal agreement to join the Falcons. As reported by Alejandro Gomis at Sheep Esports on November 4. The official confirmation of Snappi's move to the Saudi-backed team is still pending. And ENCE has not yet determined the departure date for their IGL.

ENCE on the Hunt for a New IGL

Snappi has led ENCE to a remarkable resurgence over the past year and a half. Which included a remarkable victory at IEM Dallas in June 2023, as well as runner-up performances at ESL Challenger Katowice, IEM Cologne, and Gamers8 2023 in Riyadh. The team has maintained its position as one of the best teams in the world with utmost consistency.

As part of this change, ENCE has begun searching for a new IGL. With former Astralis mastermind Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander being the frontrunner to join the Finnish organization. Gla1ve has mentioned that he is ready to return to professional Counter Strike. And this just might be his opportunity, coming knocking at the door.

Falcons' Impressive Roster

If the deal with Snappi is finalized, the Falcons will strengthen their already formidable roster. Which includes talents like Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas, and Vitality's Emil "Magisk" Reif. Coaching the team will be the renowned Danny "zonic" Sørensen, who has previously achieved Major-winning success with Astralis and Vitality. Falcons are also trying to sign Wonderkid Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov to potentially join the roster, but G2 have denied all transfer rumors for now.

CS2 Roster Changes on the Horizon

The formation of the Falcons' roster is just one piece of the puzzle in what promises to be a season filled with roster changes in the CS2 scene. Teams are solidifying their lineups as they prepare for the 2024 season and the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major at the beginning of 2024.

As the CS2 scene continues to evolve, the acquisition of Snappi by the Falcons is a significant move, and all eyes are on the future of these two teams. As we anticipate the official confirmation of Snappi's transition and monitor ENCE's next steps, one question lingers: What more does the ever-evolving CS2 have in store for us?

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
