PGL Wallachia Season 6 reaches its halfway point after the conclusion of the Group Stage. As usual for Swiss stages, half of the sixteen teams were eliminated, and the remaining eight moved on to the Playoffs. Now, the tournament shifts to a double-elimination bracket where teams get only one chance to lose before elimination.

The tournament delivered several exciting matchups and marked the return of OG as a major talking point. Let’s take a look at how the qualified teams performed and compare their results to the expectations we had going into the event.

PGL Wallachia Season 6: Group Stage

As usual, the Group Stage truly started to take shape in the third round. Team Liquid and Team Spirit became the first duo to qualify. Both teams had been struggling with their roster shuffles after The International 2025.

This time, without Team Falcons in the mix, they took over the top of the Group Stage in Round 3. On the opposite end, Team Cobra and Roar Gaming were eliminated after three straight losses.

In the fourth round, OG stole the spotlight by defeating Heroic and returning to the Playoffs of a major tournament. After a long string of rough results, the team finally seems to have found stable ground in Southeast Asia.

MOUZ continued their upward trend and also qualified in the fourth round. Closing the list, PARIVISION secured their Playoff slot and will attempt to stay consistent. PARI placed only 10th at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, but now they have a shot at climbing back to the top.

Finally, the fifth and last round opened with Tundra Esports qualifying. Delivering results this late is unusual considering Tundra recently won BLAST Slam IV and looked strong. Despite that victory, the roster still seems to be adapting to Pure, and they could surprise — positively or negatively — once Playoffs begin.

Next, BetBoom Team secured their slot after defeating GamerLegion. This result ended North America’s run in the event and passed the torch to Heroic. Luckily for the Americas, Heroic won the last match of the Group Stage, claimed a Playoff spot, and eliminated Xtreme Gaming.

PGL Wallachia Season 6: Playoffs Schedule

The Playoffs for PGL Wallachia Season 6 begin immediately after the Group Stage concludes. Unlike the long break we saw at BLAST Slam, teams head straight into their next matches. Round 5 qualifiers get no downtime, and earlier-qualified teams get only a short rest.

As usual, only the Upper Bracket Quarterfinal schedule is set, since future rounds depend on the results. Here is the full first-round schedule, starting November 20:

  • 08:00 — PARIVISION vs. MOUZ
  • 11:00 — Team Spirit vs. Heroic
  • 14:00 — OG vs. BetBoom Team
  • 17:00 — Team Liquid vs. Tundra Esports

Interesting Matches in the Quarterfinals

All playoff teams earned their place, but fans still have clear favorites. Here are the most interesting matchups and what to expect from them.

First, PARIVISION and MOUZ open the Quarterfinals moving in opposite directions. MOUZ keeps climbing the Tier 1 ladder, while PARIVISION struggles to maintain their level. This match will determine whether PARIVISION can get back on track and stop MOUZ’s rise.

On the other end of the bracket, Tundra Esports will close the day facing Team Liquid. Liquid performed exceptionally well in the Group Stage, but Tundra enters the Playoffs carrying the momentum of winning BLAST Slam IV and becoming three-time back-to-back champions.

Liquid finally topped a Group Stage after a long wait, and now their next step is overcoming a recent champion to set the stage for a potential showdown with Team Falcons in another event.

Will they succeed, or will Tundra anchor themselves in the Upper Bracket and push Liquid off the path?

Closing Thoughts

PGL Wallachia Season 6 moves into the Playoffs with a unique mix of teams and high expectations for each of them. PARIVISION tries to climb back up, MOUZ continues its push forward, Team Spirit tests their new hard support, and Heroic faces the challenge of maintaining their strong Tier 1 form.

In the lower half of the bracket, OG returns to Tier 1 Playoffs representing a new region. BetBoom Team remains trapped in the maze of their own inconsistency, while Team Liquid prepares to face Tundra Esports on their mission to reclaim a spot among the strongest Dota 2 organizations.
