Overwatch Unveils Mauga’s First Mythic Skin Ahead of Midseason Patch
Mauga is set to receive his first Overwatch Mythic skin in the upcoming Season 3 midseason patch. Scheduled to arrive on July 14th, the patch will likely introduce hero balance changes and other adjustments alongside the World Forger Mauga skin.
This will be the third Mythic of the season, following the Ascendant Phoenix Illari and Tokyo Rebel Hanzo (weapon) skins, which were added with the Season 3 patch.
World Forger Mauga Mythic Skin: Customization Levels Explained
Like all Mythic hero skins, World Forger Mauga will cost 50 Mythic Prisms to unlock the base variant, with three additional levels of customization available, each costing 10 Prisms.

Level 1 (50 Prisms): Mythic Skin + Ability VFX

Level 4 (10 Prisms): Ambient Skin VFX
Upon unlocking the base skin for 50 Mythic Prisms, you also receive glowing ability VFX that transforms Mauga's abilities into the shade of the skin's color variant. The next level unlocks customization options for his hair, face, and armor plates. The teaser shows glimpses of Mauga with two unique types of armor extensions across his torso, along with a plain version featuring a bone mask covering his face and highlighting his glowing eyes.
Level 3 offers unique color variants. The base color appears to be icy blue, while the other options include molten orange and bright green variants. The final level adds ambient skin VFX, causing Mauga to emanate an aura that matches the skin's color scheme. Veins of energy can also be seen flowing across his armor when this is unlocked.
After Level 4, you can also unlock any of the Aspects for 20 Prisms each. While Mauga is sure to receive the Gilded and Iridescent Aspects, it remains unclear whether he will be among the limited heroes who have access to the Dawn Aspect.
