ohnePixel to Host $50,000 VALORANT Tournament for New "Gauntlet: Glitched" Mode

Prominent German streamer and content creator Mark "ohnePixel" Zimmermann has officially announced he is hosting a high-stakes $50,000 early access tournament to showcase VALORANT's newest game mode. 

Writing on social media platform X, the popular personality called on esports professionals and high-profile creators to fill the final remaining slots for the showcase taking place this Friday. 

The competitive event offers participants and viewers an exclusive first look ahead of the mode's broader public release in Patch 13.06 on September 22. The creators of VALORANT quickly responded to the news on their official channels, making fans even more excited for the show.

Inside "Gauntlet: Glitched" Mode

Developed as VALORANT's most ambitious experimental addition to date, "Gauntlet: Glitched" completely reimagines the tactical shooter experience as an 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2 battle royale. 

Operating across four "Stitched Simulation" arenas constructed from fused, distorted memories of iconic bomb sites, matches feature hybrid robo-agents navigating a staged weapon progression system that advances players from sidearms to powerful firearms like the new Warden rifle.

Central to the gameplay is a roguelike "draft-fight-repeat" loop: before each round, teams navigate a slot-machine-style draft screen to select and stack ability powers up to 3 tiers.

Although specific details regarding the official player roster and match schedule remain sparse, ohnePixel's immense popularity and positive reputation across the FPS community positions the tournament for major success.
