Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom, a professional player for Karmine Corp in the Valorant competitive scene and brother of Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom, has officially announced his departure from the game. In a heartfelt statement, Nivera revealed his decision to pursue his passion for Counter-Strike and embark on a new chapter in his gaming career.

Today marks a significant moment for Nivera as he discloses the mutual termination agreement with Karmine Corp, freeing him to explore opportunities in Counter-Strike as a free agent. This decision signifies a strategic move towards aligning his career trajectory with his long-standing devotion to CS.

History in VALORANT

Nivera's entry into Valorant with Team Liquid was marked by immediate success. Replacing James "Kryptix" Affleck, they managed to clinch victory in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: EMEA Last Chance Qualifier. Although Liquid did not win VALORANT Champions 2021, they still finished a respectable 3rd-4th.

Despite early triumphs, subsequent tournaments witnessed Team Liquid's struggle to maintain momentum. Culminating in disappointing performances in VCT EMEA Challengers and Masters Reykjavik. Although they managed to secure a spot in VALORANT Champions 2022, their journey ended abruptly in the playoffs.

In 2023, Nivera, along with his brother ScreaM were signed by Karmine Corp as part of a completely French speaking roster. But an early exit from LOCK//IN and a bottom place finish in the VCT EMEA League 2023 underscored their struggles to find their footing.

Nivera's final Valorant match was in the VALORANT Champions 2023 EMEA Last Chance Qualifier against Natus Vincere. NaVi won 2-1 against KC. Thus, closing out his competitive journey in Valorant.

Gratitude for Valorant Journey

Acknowledging the pivotal role Valorant has played in his life and career, Nivera expresses profound gratitude for the opportunities it has provided. Notably, playing alongside his brother, a lifelong aspiration, has been a highlight of his Valorant journey.

He also extends heartfelt appreciation to his supporters and teammates who have been instrumental in his journey within the Valorant competitive scene. He acknowledges the invaluable experiences shared with past teams and expresses his commitment to continue supporting them in their endeavors.

Support from the Community

Nivera’s announcement of shifting games has been met with heartfelt support from the online community. Most notably from Mohan "launders" Govindasamy, who welcomed him back by saying “it’s time to play a real game again”.

Looking Ahead

As Nivera embarks on this new chapter, he anticipates sharing his journey with his fans and supporters. With plans to stream his adventures in Counter-Strike in the coming days, he invites everyone to join him on this exciting new path.
