Team Vitality has done it again—they have secured their sixth Grand Finals in a row after edging out Team Falcons in the IEM Dallas 2025 Semifinals. Their opponent this time is MOUZ, who took down The MongolZ, securing a finals rematch against Team Vitality after missing them in the last two events.

The clash will feature two of the strongest teams of 2025, and the reward? The IEM Dallas trophy, $125k, and a chance to register their first win for the ESL Grand Slam.

A History Written in Dominance

The IEM Dallas 2025 Grand Finals won't be the first bout between these two teams. MOUZ was the first team of 2025 to truly challenge Team Vitality. At BLAST Open Spring 2025 Lisbon, MOUZ dragged the series to a final map, but Team Vitality managed to close it out.

In terms of head-to-head, the French side hasn't lost a single series to MOUZ. But that is true for any team you pit against Team Vitality in a head-to-head since ropz joined (except Eternal Fire).

For MOUZ, the series won't only be a revenge game, but a massive confidence booster going into the Austin Major. A win here means they can overcome the biggest, baddest challenge of 2025 Counter-Strike esports and secure a second trophy.

In the case of their opponents, it will be 30 series wins in a row, a clean 6/6 finals record, and a reassurance that even with less preparation, they can win over the best CS esports has to offer.

MOUZ’s Win Conditions

Going into the series, MOUZ looks dominant. The international squad with Brollan at the helm is a menace. Right now, all the gears of the squad are in the right place and in sync.

Last time Brollan and his squad faced Team Vitality, the Swedish IGL managed to outmaneuver apEX on Dust 2 and Mirage. For the Dallas Grand Finals, Brollan has to do it again, exploiting Team Vitality’s slightly out-of-form defense to get the job done.

Jimpphat, MOUZ’s anchor, will also need to stay vigilant and consistently shut down any and all attempts from ropz to find gaps in the defense, securing crucial rounds for the team.

All eyes, however, will be on torzsi. The Hungarian AWPer will not only have to face ZywOo, but must consistently be a threat. If Vitality shuts down torzsi and his AWP, they’ll likely secure victory.

For MOUZ to win, they’ll need to be firing on all fronts, bringing the fight directly to Vitality.

A Statement in the Making

Team Vitality's IEM Dallas 2025 run is a testament to their strong fundamentals. Despite coming under-prepared and taking a break, you can only push them to the limit. But when push comes to shove, they click heads, clutch rounds, and close it out.

Statistically, Team Vitality is the better team—they are the favorites to win the series. But at IEM Dallas, MOUZ looks cleaner, deadlier, and stronger. If Team Vitality still come off with a victory, they will not only win their sixth consecutive trophy but go into the Austin Major knowing they are the undisputed best team at the event.

MOUZ vs. Team Vitality

Map Veto

To kickstart the map vetoes, both teams should get rid of their perma bans: Anubis for MOUZ, and Ancient for Vitality. Team Vitality will want to start the game on a map they are extremely comfortable with, which is Inferno. In past series, MOUZ has struggled on the map, further solidifying the reason behind choosing Inferno.

MOUZ will most likely pick Nuke or Mirage, the two maps Vitality has been struggling on. While Mirage was their pick last time, Nuke—being the preparation-heavy map it is—should be the pick for the series this time around.

From Mirage, Dust 2, and Train, Vitality will choose Dust 2. A solid win over Team Falcons today and the map's inherent maneuverability that favors a calling-heavy game make it a solid choice for them.

MOUZ will choose Mirage as their second map, with Train being the final map of the series.

Who Will Win IEM Dallas 2025?

As mentioned before, MOUZ are coming to the series as the hotter team. They are looking much sharper, and if Team Vitality doesn't bring their A-game, they will lose.

That said, throughout Dallas, Vitality has been challenged and pushed to the limits. In the series against The MongolZ and Team Falcons, they were pushed to the point of breaking, but they always held strong. Compared to an evolving team like Team Falcons, apEX and XTQZZZ have more data on how MOUZ plays, and with that understanding comes the ability to defeat their opponents.

While MOUZ will be a worthy challenger and likely push the series to five maps, Vitality’s resilience and experience will see them clinch the trophy—securing their sixth title and cementing their dominance over the scene.

The Grand Finals action starts tomorrow, Sunday, May 25th at 02:00 pm CST | 09:00 pm CET. Catch the action live on ESL Twitch/YouTube. You can also follow the game on Strafe with live scores, the latest news, and more.
