Round of 16 fixtures

G2 Esports vs. Astralis (August 19, 4:00 pm CEST)

The individuals of G2 Esports have shown slightly better form at the tournament, and it should help them secure the Quarterfinals. Astralis has potential, but they are yet to prove themselves on the biggest stages.

FUT Esports vs. magic (August 19,  4:00 pm CEST)

FUT Esports' experience in Tier 1 makes them the favorites to advance to the Quarterfinals. magic has shown good Counter-Strike, but they have to put up their best performance yet to win over their opponents.

FURIA vs. Aurora Gaming (August 19, 6:55 pm CEST)

The Aurora roster has some strong pieces, but the team is yet to display their full potential. FURIA themselves aren’t in the best of shape. The winner will be decided based on which team finds their footing faster.

GamerLegion vs. MOUZ (August 19, 6:55 pm CEST)

MOUZ’s victory at the BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 has created enough momentum for the team to go on another Grand Finals run. GamerLegion is not a pushover, especially with Fl4mus, but MOUZ has a slight edge in the fixture.

Natus Vincere vs. Legacy (August 20, 12:00 pm CEST)

Legacy is currently one of the best Brazilian squads after FURIA, but even with their strengths, the current NAVI is out of their reach. Legacy can definitely make it difficult for their opponents, but NAVI is the clear favorite.

Team Falcons vs. The MongolZ (August 20, 12:00 pm CEST)

The new MongolZ has shown some signs of brilliance throughout the tournament; Team Falcons, however, is a mountain too tall for a team that is playing only their second tournament together.

FaZe Clan vs. Team Vitality (August 20, 2:55 pm CEST)

The rebuilt FaZe Clan has been on the upswing, but it is too early to call them the favorites going into this match-up. While Team Vitality has been struggling, we expect them to show up during the Playoffs.

B8 vs. Team Spirit (August 20, 2:55 pm CEST)

In an ideal world, Team Spirit should easily take this game. However, B8 has been playing extremely well, and with Spirit struggling to find footing, it won’t be a surprise if the Ukrainian youngsters take down donk & Co.

Who will Win the CS2 Esports World Cup 2026?

Despite playing on the stronger side of the bracket, Team Falcons is undoubtedly the frontrunner for winning the CS2 EWC 2026 trophy.  Out of all the top teams playing in the tournament, they look the most stable and poised to add another trophy to their cabinet.

While both Spirit and Vitality have shown terrible form, their on-paper strength cannot be underestimated. If they win their respective openers, the winner of their match-up can give Falcons a run for the money.

FURIA & MOUZ should be the semifinal fixture for the significantly weaker upper side of the bracket. The rest of the teams competing on this side of the bracket aren’t far behind the frontrunners either, as any of FUT, G2, Astralis, GamerLegion, and Aurora can peak at the right time to reach the semifinals and the Grand Finals.

We do think the winner will be the team that conquers the stronger side of the bracket.
