Los Ratones have officially conquered Northern Europe after being crowned the NLC Winter Champions. The team showed up to the Grand Finals and wasted no time in sweeping NORD Esports to claim the title and secure their spot at the 2025 EMEA Masters Winter tournament.

Caedrel and co. dominate the NLC

Los Ratones' run at the 2025 NLC Winter Season has been remarkable to watch. With a roster stacked to the brim with experience and skill, Caedrel's new team came into a strong NLC league looking like the team to beat at the time. Now, that seems like an understatement.

Having swept NORD Esports in the Grand Finals, Los Ratones became the NLC Winter Champions after losing just one game throughout the entire tournament.

With the team's sights firmly set on the 2025 EMEA Masters Winter, it will be interesting to see whether Los Ratones can continue to dominate the League of Legends Tier-2 scene in Europe, or if teams like Karmine Corp Blue can give the star-studded squad a run for their money.

The NLC bursts under Los Ratones

The trophy in their hands, Caedrel's passion for competitive League of Legends has been a most welcome addition to the lower tiers of the game. With prominent names like Simon "Baus" Hofverberg, Tim "Nemesis" Lipovšek, or Martin "Rekkles" Larsson on the roster, Los Ratones came into the league and immediately saw the NLC's viewership numbers explode.

Now, with Los Ratones taking on a NORD squad led by former LCS Champion of Lucas "Santorin" Larsen, the tournament's Grand Finals saw viewership numbers previously unheard of in a Tier-2 league. At its peak, the match saw a total of 360,545 viewers tune in, as per Esports Charts.

For reference, that is more than double the peak viewership of the LTA Split 1 Grand Finals, which saw no more than 170,342 viewers catch the action. If a Tier-2 league was able to surpass a Major Region in terms of viewership, then that is all thanks to Los Ratones.
