The League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) is back. After an exciting Winter Split, the 2024 Spring Split is now just around the corner. The 10 teams will return to battle it out for the second split of the year, in hopes of qualifying for the Mid-Summer Invitational (MSI).

The regular split is set to run between the 9th of March until the 25th of March. The Playoffs will kick off on the 30th and run until the 14th of April. Here is everything you need to know for the upcoming 2024 Spring Split.

LEC Spring Split 2024 Format

First up, the format will remain the same as previous splits. 10 teams are set to participate and compete in a single-round robin event in the regular split. Each match will be Bo1 during this stage. The top 8 best performing teams from the regular split will move on to the Playoffs.

In Playoffs, the top 8 teams will transition into a double-elimination format, with all matches in Rounds 1 and 2 being Bo3s and the rest being Bo5.

Furthermore, much like the Winter Split, the winner of the LEC Spring Split championship will earn a qualification to the 2024 MSI event as well as the LEC 2024 Season Finals.

LEC Spring Split 2024 Teams

Strafe’s Choice: Match(es) of the Week

Team Vitality vs Team Heretics [9th March | 5pm CET]

An El classico in some ways, with two historic organization and names clashing. Neither team had the most inspiring of Winter Splits, however, the talent present on the server this coming weekend does beckon a tune in, if nothing else, to see how Team Heretics can function with their new mid laner.

Team BDS vs G2 Esports [9th March | 7pm CET]

The Winter finals we were promised and did not get. A teaser of things to come, this is easily a matchup between goliaths in the LEC, between the best and second best team in the league.

MAD Lions KOI vs G2 Esports [10th March | 9pm CET]

The exciting Winter semi finals has a continuation in the form of a rematch, albeit in Bo1 format. Can MDK continue to bring the thunder against G2, or will their Winter run prove to be a fluke?

LEC Spring Split 2024 Schedule

All regular split LEC games will take place over the weekends between Saturday to Monday. Games are scheduled to begin from 5pm CET until 9pm CET each day. Playoffs times TBA.

Week 1: 9th – 11th March

Locke in League of Legends: Abilities, Playstyle, Release Date

Riot’s newest champion, Corvin Locke, arrives as a nail-slinging exorcist versed in forbidden rites, shaped by a childhood steeped in Demacian lies and hypocrisy. Born to Demacian occultists, Locke grew up learning a brutal lesson: demons are not the source of humanity’s darkness, but its consequence. That belief drives his mission now—to tear through every soul, expose its hidden rot, and make the world a little more honest, one exorcism at a time.
