League of Legends Patch 14.12 Preview, set to be released soon, will bring a variety of changes to the game.

In the upcoming 14.12 Patch, Riot will change several champions and items. These adjustments aim to maintain a healthy game balance and ensure a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for all players.

These are changes as listed by a post on X (Twitter) by Matt Leung-Harrison, League of Legends' Lead Gameplay Designer.

Champion Buffs

A variety of champions will receive buffs in patch 14.12, here are some notable changes.

  • Ezreal
    • AD growth: 2.5 - 2.75
    • Q total AD ratio: 1.3 -> 1.4
    • R damage: 325/500/675 -> 350/550/750
  • Karma
    • E shield: 80-260 - 80-280
    • R bonus shield: 50-170 -> 50-200
    • E/R+E move speed duration: 1.5s -> 2.0s
  • Naafiri
    • Packmate damage: 6-30 + 4.5% Bonus AD -> 12-32 + 5% Bonus AD Q cooldown: 11-7 - 9-7 - Q bleed execute now affects small monsters - Q2 heal now works on large/epic monsters.
  • Nilah
    • Health regen: 4 -> 6 — Armor growth: 4.2 - 4.5
  • Talon
    • Q Cast time now scales with Attack Speed (quick stab) - W Jungle Mod: 105% -> 100% -
    • W Outgoing Damage: 40/50/60/70/80 -> 50/60/70/80/90
  • Vlad
    • W Cost: 20% Current Health -> 15% Current Health
    • W Healing: 15% of Pre-mitigation damage >> 30% of Pre-mitigation damage
    • W Bonus health ratio: 10% >>> 15%
  • Yone
    • Armor: 30 -> 33
    • Recommended Rune update.
  • Yuumi
    • E Cooldown: 12/11.5/11/10.5/10 -> 10
    • R Heal per hit: 25/40/55 -> 35/50/65

Among the champions receiving Recommended Rune updates are: Seraphine, Yone, Draven, Talon, Karma, Zed, LeBlanc, and Zoe. These updates are designed to enhance their performance and provide more strategic options.

Champion Nerfs

We've talked about buffs, now let's move on to the nerfs, where some champions faced significant reduction in terms of strength this patch.

    • E damage: 100-450 + 85% Total AD + 120% AP -> 70-350 + 100% Total AD + 110% АР
  • Akshan
    • Passive damage
      • Level 1-5: 10-30 -> 15
      • Level 6-10: 35-65 - 40
      • Level 11-15: 75-120 -> 80
      • Level 16-18: 135-165 -> 150
    • E Damage: 25-85 + 17.5% Bonus AD > 15-75 + 15% Total AD
  • Ashe
    • P damage: 120% + Crit Chance * Crit Damage -> 110% + Crit Chance * Crit Damage
  • Blitzcrank
    • Health: 650 > 600 - Passive duration: 4s - 10s
  • Master Yi
    • Q bonus monster damage: 75-175 -> 65-165
    • W initial DR (damage reduction): 90% - 70%
    • W CD: 9 -> 10
  • Rek'Sai
    • Q Attack Speed: 45% -> 35%
    • W Damage: 50/75/100/125/150 -> 30/55/80/105/130
  • Skarner
    • Health: 650+102 -> 610+105
    • P damage: 7-10% Max HP → 5-11% Max HP
  • Tryndamere
    • Q Bonus AD: 10-30 - 5-25
    • E damage: 80-200 -> 75-195
  • Twisted Fate
    • AD Growth: 3.3 -> 2.5
    • W Mana Cost: 30/40/50/60/70 -> 50/55/60/65/70
    • Blue Card Mana Restore: 50/75/100/125/150 -> 70/90/110/130/150

Champion Adjustments

For overall adjustments, we only have two champions in the upcoming patch 14.12.

  • Aatrox
    • HP regen growth: - 0.5
    • Armor growth: +0.35
    • E healing: 18-24% by rank → 16% + 0.9% per 100 bonus HP
      • E no longer increased to 20-36% during R
    • R healing increase: 25/35/45% > 50/75/100%
  • Corki
    • AD: -3
    • AS growth: +0.5%
    • Q damage: 70-250 > 70-270
    • Q CD: 9-7 > 8-6
    • Q AP ratio.7 -> 1.0
    • E damage 100-300 > 100-280
    • E Shred: 12-24 > 12-20
    • E mana: 50-70 > 50-90 1

System Buffs

Item Shop

Moving on to the system buffs, we have a few notable ones here.

  • Lord Dominik's Regards
    • Build Path Change: Cloak of Agility ->Noonquiver
    • Total price unchanged
  • Serylda's Grudge
    • Armor Pen 20% -> 25%
  • Scout's Slingshot
    • Price: 900g -> 800g
    • Build Path Change: Now builds from 2 Daggers
    • Rapid Firecannon, Statikk Shiv, Hurricane - total prices unchanged.
  • Statikk Shiv
    • Build Path Change: Pickaxe added
    • Total price unchanged
  • Void Staff
    • Ability Power: 80 -> 90

System Nerfs

Some minor changes.

  • First Strike
    • Flat Gold: 15 -> 10
    • Damage Amp: 8% → 7%
  • Noonquiver
    • Attack damage: 25 -> 20
    • Gold efficiency 120% -> 107%
