The player base will shape the future of the League of Legends Classic Mode. Through "The Council," the community will have a direct voice in key decisions, voting on what comes next and guiding the game in the direction they want it to go.
What Is The Council in League Classic?
The Council is a dedicated tab within the League of Legends Client where players can vote on the improvements, new champions, and other additions they want to see in League Classic.
The questions focus on two areas: sentiment, which helps identify broad areas for improvement, and binding, which Riot uses to determine the best approach for implementing those improvements.
The first council tab will be open for seven days only, running from August 26 through September 2.

Who Is Eligible to Vote?
The community will gain access to The Council through their Classic Level. The more they play League Classic, the more voting power they will earn.
In other words, the more time you spend in Classic, the greater your voice becomes within The Council, as Riot Games announced when the game mode was released in July 2026.
You can check out your Classic Level on the game mode's front page, right next to the Play button.

Eligible players will be asked to answer a series of questions. All questions will have five answer options for players to choose from.
Their answers can be changed at any time before the poll closes. Once the poll ends, the results will be announced in the Patch Notes.
Poll 1 Questions
The first League Classic Council poll covers questions across a few areas, including game length, item revivals, and some map features. The first series of questions is:
- How does game length feel?
- When is a game too long?
- Which of those items do you want us to revive in Classic? Each item that scores higher than 50% is added, including "All 3."
- Should Classic add jungle timers? If options 1 and 2 receive more than 50% combined, the higher of those two options wins.
- Base gates were added at the start of Season 5 to give the defending team a way to protect its base without relying on more extreme comeback mechanics. Should we keep base gates in the game?
- How snowbally do games feel to you now?
- Do you feel that the ward trinkets improve Classic gameplay?
- We're adding 2 critters to the river, 1 at the top and 1 at the bottom. What should the critter pairings be (top first, bottom second)?
If players don't have an opinion on a particular topic, they don't have to answer. They can simply skip the question and move on.
