Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 11, titled “Echoes of Un’Goro,” is set to launch on August 5 with exciting changes and fresh content that promise to revitalize the popular auto-battler mode for players of all skill levels. This season marks a reset in the Battlegrounds meta by retiring Anomalies and Trinkets, streamlining gameplay to focus on strategy-driven by new and returning mechanics. The spotlight shines on the new 'Rally' keyword, which introduces dynamic effects especially for Quilboar and Dragon compositions.

The season features a massive update to the minion pool, including over 100 new and revamped cards that ensure a vibrant and evolving meta from day one, supported by an innovative in-game Battlegrounds Guide that helps both new and experienced players navigate the refreshed landscape. With all these features, a revamped progression track packed with exclusive cosmetics, and special community events including Twitch Drops, Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 11 is primed to offer one of the richest and most engaging experiences the mode has ever seen.

What’s New in Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 11?

1. Anomalies and Trinkets Removed

Season 11 marks a return to classic Battlegrounds gameplay. Anomalies and Trinkets have been retired, making way for a more streamlined experience alongside all-new seasonal features.

2. Introducing the 'Rally' Keyword

Season 11 introduces the 'Rally' keyword, with a unique ability mainly found on Quilboar and Dragons, but which appears across all minion types. Whenever a minion with Rally attacks, its special effect triggers, enabling dynamic strategies and exciting new synergies. Beloved minions such as Monstrous Macaw and Yrel are now updated to include Rally, adding depth for both old and new builds.

Why Rally Matters in Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 11

  • Changes board positioning strategy and attack sequencing.
  • Offers creative synergies, especially for Quilboar and Dragon builds.
  • Encourages experimentation, benefiting every skill level.

3. Quests Make Their Return

A fan-favorite mechanic, Quests, returns this season. On Turn 4 (6-Gold turn), select one of three Quests: completing it grants a powerful Reward that lasts the rest of the game. There are 35 carefully picked returning Rewards, along with 13 brand-new ones, including those that enhance Rally-focused decks.

4. New Hero: Loh, the Living Legend

Meet Loh, the Living Legend, the exclusive new hero joining Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 11. Once your minions collectively attack 15 times, Loh’s Hero Power permanently upgrades, allowing you to "Discover a Rally minion" for just 1 Gold. This hero is perfect for aggressive players and Rally enthusiasts.

5. The Bounty Mechanic, for Pirates

Pirate fans can rejoice with the new Bounty mechanic: a Tier 3 Tavern Spell that appears only in Pirate lobbies. There are five distinct Bounty spells, balanced to show up as often as two standard spells. New Pirate minions can generate Bounty, while the Proud Privateer is designed to pay them off for powerful advantages.

6. Massive Minion Pool Refresh

Over 100 minions and Tavern spells are entering the rotation, combining new cards, much-requested classics, and balance updates.

  • Minion pools for every type have changed.
  • All new and updated cards are available immediately at launch (no rollout delays).
  • Several minions now have Rally, and old favorites have been reworked.

The Card Library has a comprehensive, up-to-date list so you can study the pool as you theorycraft your first builds.

7. The Battlegrounds Guide

A significant onboarding and learning tool, the Battlegrounds Guide, debuts this season. Accessible mid-match, it lets you:

  • See exactly which minions and spells are in your current lobby.
  • Filter them by Tavern Tier and type.
  • Quickly adapt to the evolving minion pool.

Whether it’s your first match or your thousandth, the Guide makes sense of the constant updates in Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 11.
