The VCT OFF//SEASON EMEA Spotlight Series concluded at Paris Games Week on Oct. 24, with GiantX securing a 3-1 victory over G2 Chozen in a groundbreaking mixed-gender event. As the first of its kind, the tournament featured top-tier male and female players competing together in front of 2000 spectators, with a total prize pool of €30,000.

The event, which required teams to field at least two Game Changers players, provided a glimpse into the future of inclusive competitive gaming. Here's a breakdown of the intense Grand Final.

Map 1: Lotus (G2 Pick) – 13-9 GiantX

G2 started strong on Lotus, their map pick, taking an early lead. Trent (Fade) and Valyn (Viper) put up a solid defense, keeping GiantX at bay for the first few rounds. However, GiantX mounted a comeback in the second half, with runneR (Skye) dominating with 24 kills and a 91% kill-assist-survive-trade (KAST) rating.

Purp0 (Neon) was also a game-changer, leading the aggressive pushes with 20 kills. While G2’s Jawgemo (Raze) and Mimi (Killjoy) held strong, GiantX outmaneuvered them in key rounds, exploiting gaps in G2’s defense to secure the 13-9 win and take the series lead.

Map 2: Bind (GiantX Pick) – 13-7 GiantX

On Bind, GiantX continued to build momentum, with Purp0 once again leading the charge on Raze, racking up 22 kills. Joliinaa (Brimstone) had one of her best performances in the series, securing 17 kills and playing a pivotal role in controlling the map with her smokes and utility.

Westside (Jett) and Miyori (Viper) provided consistent support, with Miyori holding key angles and Westside getting crucial picks. G2 Chozen couldn’t seem to recover from GiantX’s relentless pressure, despite efforts from Vania (Brimstone) and Jawgemo (Raze). G2’s utility usage was solid, but they struggled to find openings, allowing GiantX to close the map 13-7.

Map 3: Haven (G2 Pick) – 13-6 G2 Chozen

Facing elimination, G2 Chozen stepped up on Haven, delivering a dominant performance to keep the series alive. Trent (Sova) was unstoppable, finishing with 21 kills and a remarkable 1.81 ACS, controlling the map with pinpoint accuracy and timely information. Valyn (Cypher) also delivered a standout performance with 18 kills, locking down sites with expert utility placement.

Jawgemo (Neon) contributed significantly as well, using Neon’s mobility to disrupt GiantX’s defensive setups. While Miyori (Killjoy) and Purp0 (Neon) put up a fight for GiantX, they couldn’t match G2’s coordination and firepower on this map, resulting in a 13-6 victory for G2.

Map 4: Icebox (GiantX Pick) – 13-8 GiantX

The final map of the series saw GiantX closing things out on Icebox with a decisive 13-8 victory. Purp0 (Jett) was a force to be reckoned with, dropping 27 kills and constantly applying pressure with aggressive plays. RunneR (Gekko) and Westside (Sova) were instrumental in supporting Purp0’s offensive pushes, providing crucial utility and picking off key targets.

G2’s Trent (Sova) tried to keep the team in the game with an impressive 22 kills, while Vania (Killjoy) held the line with solid defense, but Mimi (Viper) and Jawgemo (Gekko) couldn’t match GiantX’s pace. GiantX's coordinated pushes and aggressive retakes were too much for G2, allowing them to seal the series and claim the championship.

A groundbreaking event for VALORANT

The VCT OFF//SEASON Spotlight Series marked a historic moment in competitive VALORANT, showcasing how top-tier male and female players can compete on equal footing. Mimi and Vania from G2, along with Joliinaa and Miyori from GiantX, were key contributors, playing critical roles in their teams’ performances.

The mixed-gender format demonstrated that Game Changers players can hold their own against VCT veterans, breaking down gender barriers in professional esports. With exceptional performances from the women players on both teams, this event serves as a strong example of how VALORANT can continue to foster inclusivity and competitive excellence in the future.

Is VALORANT Crossplay? PC, PS5, Xbox & Mobile Explained (2026)

VALORANT does not offer crossplay between PC and console. This means that PC players can only match and play against other PC players, and console players (PS5 and Xbox) players can only match and play against other console players. While there is no crossplay in VALORANT, the game does support cross progression, which means that your account, skins, and any other form of progress carry from one platform to the other (from PC to console, and vice versa).
