On day 3 of the playoffs of VCT Pacific Stage 1, Gen.G clashed with DRX in the lower bracket semifinals. The stakes were high, as the winner would secure the last qualification spot for VCT Masters Shanghai from the Pacific region, while the loser would bid farewell to the competition.

Gen.G vs DRX

The intense battle commenced on Bind, chosen by DRX. Despite a solid start on the attack side by DRX, Gen.G rallied to equalize the first half at 6-6. However, DRX's formidable defense proved too much for Gen.G, securing a 13-8 victory.

Sunset, Gen.G's map choice, saw DRX dominate early with a 7-0 lead. Yet, Gen.G displayed resilience, ending the first half at 8-4. With a powerful attack, Gen.G made a stunning comeback, winning 13-11.

The decider on Ascent favored Gen.G from the outset, as they surged to an 8-4 lead on the attack side. Despite DRX's efforts, Gen.G maintained their advantage, clinching a 13-8 victory and sealing the series 2-1.
