The Canadian Esports organization, Gaimin Gladiators have announced the addition of Fredrik "roeJ" Røj Christensen and Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi to the Counter-Strike roster.

They will replace Jason "salazar" Salazar and Patrick "Patti" Larsen, who joined the organization with the ECSTATIC acquisition.

Starting with multiple T2, T3 Danish rosters, roeJ and nicoodoz first played together on the Copenhagen Flames in 2021, when the former joined the roster after a stint with MAD Lions.

The duo along with their CPH Flames teammates made amazing runs at the 2021 Stockholm Major placing 9th-12th and then at the following Antwerp Major placing 5th-8th.

Following the tournament, the duo was acquired by Fnatic and helped the Swedish organization secure a 9th - 12th finish at the final Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major.

They went their separate ways when Fnatic decided to bench nicoodoz who later found himself on Heroic, while roeJ stayed a bit longer and later joined Preasy Esports as his first CS2 team.

Gaimin Gladiators made their return to Counter-Strike earlier this year with the ECSTATIC roster. The lack of strong results have prompted a change. The new additions will add much needed experience and veterancy to the young roster.

With the additions, the Gaimin Gladiator Counter-Strike roster is as follows:

The roster will debut at XSE Pro League Season 2 in Quzhou, China. Follow the team on Strafe. For more CS2 updates, follow Strafe Esports or follow the official Gaimin Gladiators X account for the latest news on their team.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
